Bruce is a low key legend. He really covers most of the essentials for good playing habits.
On a side note: ADA MP1 is the official voice of 80s -early 90s hard rock. I regret selling mine.

These guys liked it because it as very controllable and had very high clarity. I knew a lot of these people back then. After Racer X Jeff Martin, their vocalist, went back to drums and played with a few bands including Jake E. Lee's Badlands. I jammed with him right before he joined Badlands to replace Eric Singer who in turn preplaced Eric Carr in Kiss after he died. Anyhow, the guitar player for this band Jeff was in, who was always two hours late for rehearsal, had an MP1 at this studio. I'd plug into that or a modded Laney AOR and jam with them till their super ego guitar hero showed up, a real nobody with a very bad attitude. The gain of the MP1 was fantastic.

This was some of Kevin Bacon's finest work. A lotta people lost track of Kevin for a minute after Footloose, but those of us who were real big fans knew all about this "Bruce" role and we thought it was well worth an Oscar nod. Sadly, the Academy didn't see it that way, but the shredders still remember this with great fondness. Shred on, Kevin... uh... Bruce!

    ..
