    Good video....I've noticed some movement on the highway....I might try the fork brace if it does make a difference 🙂

      My sample size - 1 ride - can’t be considered definitive, but it definitely felt better.

    Hey Ben how you liking the NiceCNC foot pegs us KLR’ers really don’t need to spend $300 on pegs eh!
    Do the rip your soles up a bit they look quite aggressive … thanks for all your great info 😊👍

      Hi mate, thanks for reaching out. I’m really enjoying the foot pegs. They don’t seem to be too harsh on the soles of my shoes, but to be fair, my shoes were fairly worn when I started! I’m due for a new pair soon so will let you know more when so can.

    I enjoyed the footage of your ride. I’ve tweaked my back so I have to take it easy. This ride looks a little similar to some of the logging roads we have in Canada. Some of the older roads are so eroded they are very challenging.

      Sorry to hear about your back, but happy to hear you enjoyed the video. Is a KLR your regular ride?

  • @martythompson6509

    I'd be looking at the steering head bearings before fitting a fork brace. The klr did have a batch of poorly manufactured and fitted head bearings. Pull the front apart and see if there's any notchyness in the movement. Re grease refitt and re tension to spec.
    The second thing I'd inspect is the rear shock. That can cause more front end issues than most think. A worn shock or even linkages or bushes can cause enough play to induce a weave.

    • @adventurebikesaustralia7627
      @adventurebikesaustralia7627  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All good ideas there. I haven't had any problems with low speed steering, which is where I think a lot of the people were complaining there was a problem. I've also replaced the entire rear shock assesmbly with aftermarket gear, so it's only done maybe 4k kms. But I'll definitely have a look at it.

    It’s probably all sorted but your shifting issue is the new pegs are setting your foot differently. I had the same issues until I changed my shifter …

    Just don’t buy the heavy pig. Remember the KLX 650 well it was much better than the KLR how did the KLR become so popular just because it had a large tank 😂

      @@jackwhite2422 Good point about the KLX, but there must be more than a few things going for the KLR, coz the KLX is extinct, and the KLR is still here nearly 40 years later.
