Visited the Tramway Museum a couple of times as a child with my Nan and Great Uncle on Summer holiday days out. I still remember those trips very clearly, it's a lovely place to visit and the trams are brilliant to both see and ride on. Will definitely be taking my children when I have some and I can't wait!

Fantastic. What an event. Some beautifully restored pieces of machinery there. Nice to see Newcastle 114 in service at Crich. It'll be nice when they get their own Newcastle F class going.

mollsmyre Hi Tommy. It was a great event. Saw quite a few trams in service for the first time. It had a lot of visitors on the Saturday which would give Crich the reward of funds and make all the hard work that they did worthwhile.
AndreiTupolev Hi Andrei. It makes a great change to see so many trams and so colourfull. The Blackpool tram 711 is on loan from Blackpool Transport and it is part of their B-Fleet. However they have seen little use for a long while. Regards Joseph

I love the "singing" of the traction motors and gear, and the hiss of air brakes.

What lovely liveries the old trams have, don't they. Well, except the Blackpool one, perhaps. I wonder if they'll repaint it or keep it as it is?

Only wish some Welsh trams could have been preserved from Swansea,Cardiff and other towns and cities could have been running here.
