Bro I just found you on here searching around, but in the past two days of watching for full ethical hacking course i have learned more than in the last year and half of school. Thank you so much for the service you are providing!!! Keep up the great content.
Sharing this with my office brother. We have alot of network technicians going for CCNA and different types of networking certs and subnetting always comes up. Definitely legit and saving this video like alot of your other videos for future reference.
Thanks for the video. I'm using this as my third time around and it helped me pick up more knowledge about subnetting, which gets me closer to taking my CCNA! Thanks again!
This guy is handing out a very expensive and very lucrative education for free, this makes me question why I'm spending money on college courses instead of self study then certs.
True. But college degrees show your overall education level not just one subject. It's an official confirmation that you busted your ass to learn while others gave up. Thus showing your hard work.
@@karthikpatel3143 sorry for the late response. Because you have one broadcast and one network base address, which can't be used as a host. that's why you need to exclude those two
Potentially stupid question. Are the hacker books in the description ordered form beginner to advanced? i.e. in the order one should learn hacking? Thanks.
OK, I'm not pursuing a certification, but have a dopey question: what benefit(s) does subnetting provide? Why would I modify it from 255.255.255.0 for my home network?
Hi, im in my last year of cybersecurity degree and for the future i want to work on pentest what certification do you recomend me to take to help me to improve my curriculum and to expand my knowledge. I feel that everything that i learn in school its not enought to be prepared for the "real world" but a lot of people tell me that everyone when finishing a degree thinks the same. I saw your certifications video and i think i will try the oscp but dont know if i have the knowledge for it and the price is a litle bit high for me ... Thanks in advance.
The OSCP is respected but not hailed, get a SANS GIAC cert in a relative subject on top of the OSCP and a bucket full of Other cheap certs, it’s a simple input/output 7g’s in... 6 figures+ out
He has some of his TH-cam videos on udemy (hack the box), but his udemy course offers an abundance of other videos that arent on this channel. I highly reccomend purchasing it. Personnaly, I have learned so much from it..
Great content, much appreciated 🙏🙏🙏🙏 but one question, why only 720p resolution on udemy (pay) but here's 1080p (free)? Resolution is very important on this courses, it's the only thing that is bothering me in the udemy course...
@@TCMSecurityAcademy Unable to do do, both on pc browser and mobile udemy app... I have some print screen images if you want to see for yourself, the maximum available is 720p...
@@TCMSecurityAcademy So I got a response from Udemy support folks, it turns out that 1080p is available for some courses, at instructor request. According to them, 1080p is only available in auto mode in Firefox or Chrome. I've tested in the pc and it works, it's a litle bit strange, because you can select 144p, 360p, 480p, 720p or auto, and when you select auto, it wi''ll automatically switch videos to the highest resolution the network can support. So, you cannot select 1080p directly, because you don't have that option available, but if you select auto, it delivers 1080p.... it'll show "Auto(1080p)" after a few seconds of streaming. Not working on Android mobile app, but it works on pc and that is good news. The response time form Udemy was great, and thank you also to try to resolve this for your students. Appreciated it.
I'm on my second semester for cybersecurity and want to become a pan tester already purchase ur Practical hacking course hopefully I make six-figure being a Pan Tester
You're going to test pans? Are you going to see if they cook eggs okay? Just kidding around, of course. You mean "pen" testing, not "pan" testing. Make sure you realize that before you try becoming one.
"Yeah, hi I want to become a network admin"... "Okay, what quals do you have?"..... "I haz uber 1337 haxxing cert".... "Okay, we need someone who can configure our cisco shit and create subnets for us".... "uhhh how bout I run nmap on your servers and attack some services for you instead?".... "no, don't do that pls" Dude, you MADE a CCNA vid on your acc't lol.
@@Matt-ir1ky I understand your point. However, getting to know both is the way to go. I admit that I wasn't clear, but this is what I wanted to write, also CCNA < OSCP. I assumed from a person who has OSCP knows how to create subnets, not necessarily the way it has been shown in this video of course. I also assumed that the person who has OSCP can perform basic configurations like setting ip address, configuring default gateway, configuring OSPF/EIGRP or even RIP, configuring routing between VLANs, configuring HSRP, etc. It looks like I was wrong. Hope that all of this makes sense.
I hope you enjoyed this video! If so, please consider dropping a like and subscribing.

Found your channel a couple days ago. Finally found someone I understand. Thanks so much, great content, concise, clear and easy to digest.
This is possibly the best subnet guide on the platform
going for CCNA or like CCNP, CCIE, just saying cause your material on the internet is already enough to pass OSCP. Thanks for the content
Y do we subtract 2 can u help me with it ?

cisco's netacad is why harder than this, it took me a long time to understand subnetting half as much as this system can allow it in.

Sir please make a video on the new PWK certification course from offensive security
This will probably take the 60th replay for me to understand 35% of it. Its not the teacher, its subnet.
I would love to see more pure Network related videos.
Perfect timing subnetting chapter for my Cisco class Wednesday 🙂
Dude same
Sam Green where at ??
Thanks man for the videos really enjoyed them and learned a lot on this subject. Solved them all correctly thank you! Peace and love !
Hi, that's a great video I'm considering to sign to one of your courses. Did you make the video with rthe answers for the subletting exercise?

Where can I get that spreadsheet?
There’s a download link in the video on Heaths’ udemy course, but he does actually show you how to make it here
How about this:
If number of bits switched on = b1; Subnet = /b1
If number of bits switched off = b2; #hosts = 2^(b2)
isnt this the same paid course that i took
few months back
CCNA sucks.
Why would one not go straight for OSCP (or equivalent)?
