Its probably because of the golden pass change controversy going on right now! BRING BACK TO THE TOKENS AGAIN INSTEAD OF USING REAL MONEY to get the battlepasses
My speculation is that they won't fix what the community has been asking and that's why they don't answer anyone cuz they wanna keep us curious about whether they will listen to us or not. If they told us that they won't change jackshit a few would quit and others would get into S7 pissed. But if they were really going to revert what they were about to do then they would have no reasons to not tell us. So don't hold your breath expecting good stuff for S7 cuz I bet f2p players are done.
I think that they are just in silence because they don't want the heat with the game to go up, and they may think that staying in silence is the actual "response" to the community in discord.
But staying in silence is not the ideal, because this only brings more heat to the community, and the popularity of the game goes down even more.
If Gameloft doesn't fix the Golden Pass or if they don't give a response to us, then Disney SpeedStorm Popularity will go all downhill from here...
At this point, I'd be shocked if we got any kind of news or Pit Stop tomorrow or on Wednesday. I think they'll release the 6 page balance changes and general adjustments when season 7 launches.

if that were the case they would announce it for sure, to get people excited for the season & reduce backlash (especially for people who are not even going to try s7 because of this change)
I don't really expect anything to change. I used to play Disney Magic Kingdom (another Gameloft game) and that game went into overdrive on the monetization and yet is still going despite a lot of backlash they got.

Well, it's common sense there'll be another delay because ever since their awful mistake from their latest update & even lawsuits to sue...it'll gonna not be pretty.
I can't get over how pissed i am at Gameloft. Forcing us to pay for the once free Golden Pass, leaving us in the dark, making those events to try and sweettalk players. I'm really hope that lawsuit gets through. Screw you Gameloft! 🖕

Well the Notice is on IGN, Reddit, Kotaku, Discord etc, and in Facebook too..they cant hide..a little part of gamers are expecting on this game
Tbh I don’t know what is going on with this game. Usually at this point we get a pre-download update right before the season begins. I’m hoping because it’s Tuesday tomorrow and with gaming and updates usually happen on Tuesdays. I hope so on something as we are only a few days away until the current season officially ends.
My guess is, the reason is that they’re being so silent, is that they’re probably, HOPEFULLY, reverting their choices for players to buy real money with the golden pass. Just gotta wait for two more days…. hopefully.
That's what's keeping me unsure about spending my tokens on this season pass. I've saved up since season 4 to get the wreck it ralph season pass and with the changes I want to buy this seasons pass so my token use will be put to good use, but if the plans change and I have spent them I will have to use real money anyway. I think I'll wait one more day just to be sure we hear nothing more
but if that were the case, why wouldn't they announce it? Surprises are fun, but the whole community is mad at them for the golden pass change, some already decided they won't be playing anymore, so I think if they change it back they would announce that asap to keep people happy and playing

We need to see how the new system works. The game might be trying to convert and monetize like how Dreamlight valley does, which is not f2p, it's dlc expansion based. It also went through a similar transition, where cash became the way to obtain the new content, and the premium currency which they cannot remove, is simply not as affective as when they planned for the game to be f2p, they also give a lot of it now. It might be trying to work more like how it did during the pay in, early access again. Which apparently everyone really enjoyed.
I could just imagine that when the next pit stop community appears there's going to be a section that says let's talk about the new golden pass change
If there's one thing I know about Disney if you mess with their brand you might as well dig your own grave

They can ignore all they want but at the end of the day they have nothing but themselves to blame. That one day is their final straw all because of that useless delay. Gameloft just wanted to anger us players, I really wanted this game to succeed. When I’m gone from Speedstorm I’m gone forever I’m not dealing with that crypto scam anymore once Speedstorm has a few players there. I don’t even care about like tournament, if they’re looking for a better they’re better of finding someone else.
I agree, I'm sick of them. Total fraud, they want money for it and the players don't care.
@@Ilovemoney when bad mistakes they have to be fixed if they want their games to be successful but it’s looks to me that Gameloft doesn’t care because they just want to ignore us. I was excited for this game 2 years ago when I watched the trailer about Speedstorm. A lot of us are going to leave this game. Maybe Disney shouldn’t allow Gameloft to work for future Disney games in the future. As much as I wanted to stay I’m not paying $20 anymore. Gameloft’s not having anymore of my money as I’ve totally had enough of their crap they’ve reach my breaking point.

7 days of silence from Gameloft Is not a good signe...onestly... After all dis situation i uninstal SpeedStorm from all my platform i play on... And again...im very sad and frustrated at the same time becose im One of dis Pepole have invest so muthc time in the game since season 1 of EA and i have bought multiple bundle during the EAbperiod for get all the characters hearly... Im feal stupid and fool to be trapped from dis scam...Is never appening before onestly...maybe another time with another game... But dis time i feal all the Money i spend for support the game...are Just became wortless... Im feal bad right now
For my at dis point...i prefare the game Is not going FtP instead became a BTP model like dreamlight...with a premium expetience and expantion...like Mario kart 8 Deluxe onestly... The all mobile part are Just... Heww... Onestly... Im stay whate the reward for the mobile campain but no new date for the release onestly...
@Skyliner put it this way. Speedstorm and Asphalt is the modern day racer. U know back in the day was Burnout and more need for speed. So Gameloft is the new arcade racer, never will they shut down.

We probably won't have a delay but I think they will give some kind of retribution like they did in the last two seasons after terrible choices,Have good events for the game's first anniversary And maybe they will even go back on the decision for the 990 pass at least this season All we have to do is believe and hope for the best, or just delete the game and forget about this Trash

delay it, scrap the business model, put a price tag on game and scrap the level system, basically regulated level 50 is all this game needs and would of been a much bigger hit if it wasnt P2W, this game turned into complete trash season 3
