    When apple restricts using apple ecosystem on apple watch.....Its a Feature.
    When Samsung does the same using Samsung Health.....its an Issue.
    Come on! Stop being biased. Dont why they never highlight apple's issues. Unnecessarily making apple as an Epitome of tech. Crap.

      He's complaining about having a choice
      🤷🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️
      Same thing happened with the notch on some Androids
      Tech reviewers hated on the notch so much but iphone had a notch and they all praised the "innovative" design

      reason being for all this is apple has been in game for about 14 yrs in mobile industry, they always represent them as more than a device making company. Most of people just blindly follow apple wheather tyey accept it or not. Not saying Apple is bad or nonreliable but all this time they act are something more than life like entity or something so people praise Apple and try to justify whatever Apple do but didn't do same with android.

    • @Squadfather
      @Squadfather 3 ปีที่แล้ว +28

      Apple is great for less techy, simpler people. In my personal opinion. Makes things easier for them to just have a full system of "same" type of things. If you want better features or more abilities, go Android / Google / Samsung

    5:38 Did he really say the Apple watch has more watch faces than galaxy watches??? That's inaccurate. Samsung has over 1000's of watch faces on the galaxy store. The Apple watch doesn't come close.

      More watch faces does not mean better watch faces. As someone’s who’s owned a hauwei, google, and Samsung smart watch I can attest to that.

    • @andrijaifkovic7066
      @andrijaifkovic7066 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That was true for previous Samsung watches. These new ones have far, FAR less watch faces available. That's likely due to new OS it uses. I'm not convinced there are any real advantages to switching OS so far - much less customization and no improvements to battery life (perhaps the opposite, even).

    One thing I hate about the health apps is they're designed for people trying to lose weight. I don't need to lose any weight. They should make some features for people who have illnesses. Like help with taking medicines, and activities that are normal, as us to use as goals. Maybe pain tracking. There are millions of chronically ill people in the world that would use this.
    Also, if you get a face cover for these to protect them you can't use the bevel anymore 😞
    Great review! I'm glad they are getting away from Samsung for the apps bc it was a pain updating there also. And it was a pain to use.

    • @AliKhan-xt6kp
      @AliKhan-xt6kp 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good point but it is a watch to track your fitness. If we had such technology you just described then we won't need doctors anymore, you would just take your watch to specialist consultants and they can try and help you.

    • @zanemiracle6121
      @zanemiracle6121 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AliKhan-xt6kp Well yes but no. Even as far as fitness goes, there watches are not to replace medical equipment. They moreso give a base case of whats going on.
      To OP's point, you can make a watch like that sure. It'd just be so ridiculously expensive that the average consumer wouldn't bother with it.

    Just received mine a few hours ago (classic) and I like it, I do have a Note 20 Ultra 5G so it's nice, and have been "stuck" with Samsung phones mainly cause of a very good carrier but only support Samsung phones and iPhones. ($20.00 monthly + 2.04 tax "unlimited" everything) so it's nice, former Samsung Watch 2 classic ... (the one that came out with the S8+ at the time) and I loved it, liked Tizen OS, and wished for more apps and functionality, and Wear OS is actually better, so happy the rotating bezel is still a thing and to me, it is the best thing about it compared to other smartwatches. I also got my mother the smaller bezel-less model and she is happy since it is her first smartwatch ever :D

    About a month ago, I finally needed to move away from my Blackberry Key2 due to overheating and some physical keyboard issues. This mobile device was the last Blackberry phone produced in 2018. I then purchased a Google Pixel 6 A and the Samsung Watch 4. They work well together, and very satisfied with the Watch 4 and it seems to work well with the Pixel. I am no expert or engineer, but from my experience as an end user, it works with no issues. This Watch 4 by Samsung is though my first computer watch.

    I'm getting consistently around 40-45-ish hours runtime on the 44mm LTE standard one, and that's including sleeping with it and a daily 45minute run using GPS. This seems to be slightly above what I've seen others get out of it, so I have no clue as to why that is. I don't think individual components fluctuate so much in performance, so it's not as if I got a bomb battery (No, not the Note8 kind of bomb battery😐).
    Either way, I'm very happy with it. I've got tiny wrists and it still sits quite nice with the lugs. Doesn't look as oversized as you would think, and it doesn't feel like I'm carrying a dangly brick on my arm either. I did get a custom strap though. The glass seems very scratch resistant, although I ended up getting a screen protector after a while, just in case. No clue how prone it is to shattering, haven't been in a situation like that yet.
    It's snappy af, I like the haptic bezel (although still having some FOMO about not getting the 46mm Classic one for the wheel). I'm not married to Google functions either, so for me; the points this video brought up aren't a problem. I was switching over from a Fitbit Charge, and hadn't used Google fit extensively before. Samsung Health seems very comparable, and I can still import data automatically from my calorie counter. Never used Google Assistant before either, but started using Bixby now and it works for my needs at least. I also have a Samsung s21 Ultra, so I already had one foot in the Samsung ecosystem.
    It's my first real smartwatch, having only had fitness bands before. But I'm super pleased and can easily recommend it for anyone with similar prerequisites as mine.

    Currently using the Galaxy Watch(rotating Bezel) with a Pixel 5a for a year now. I love the look of the Classic watch as it's appearance is exactly that - a very classic look and paired with a nice strap you can wear it formally with nice dress clothes without looking tacky like an apple watch. But I am very disappointed with the BT range as well as the inconsistency in receiving notification.
    The BT range is about 12ft from phone and about 16ft from router using wifi. this isn't well considering that limits me to only being about to go 1 room away from my phone in the house and any further It turns into a regular watch.
    Inconsistency in notification is what I'm hoping will work better with Wear OS on the GW 4 as currently I can't rely on receiving important txt messages or e-mails and I have to carry my phone with me in my pocket at all times. If my phone vibrates and 10 seconds later my watch doesn't I have to look at my phone which completely defeats the purpose of having a smart watch. I've checked all of the notification settings, software updates on both devices and everything is as it should be. I can even open the Wear app on my phone and it will show notification history for the messages app being "15seconds ago" but yet I never received the message on my watch.
    My watch is still under warranty so with Black Friday deals currently on I'm going to take it back and get the Watch 4 (non classic as after 1 year of use the bezel it's no longer smooth and I don't use it very much and it's not worth the extra money from a functionality stand point - and solely visual)

    It's annoying everyone wants to be "Android vs Apple" when Apple is a singular company that makes 100% of their products. Where as with Android, there's dozens of companies and dozens of products. Of course there won't be a singular product that works as well with every product as Apple does with theirs'. It makes sense for pixel buds to work best with pixel phones and galaxy watches to work best with galaxy phones... just as apple watch works best with iphones.

    I was sold on the watch until you mentioned it still uses Bixby. I still have buyers remorse on my S3 frontier bc of Bixby. You're too nice, anyone who's ever used it hates it and anyone who ever will use it will hate it. It's the "almost" feature, almost functional, can almost understand voice commands 20% of the time and has almost been the cause of me smashing my watch until I gave up using it all together.
    Bixby is worse than useless. If my watch simply didn't have voice commands I would be okay with that and accept it. Instead I suffer the disappointment of owning a watch that's supposed to have voice commands but is completely incapable.

      Agreed. I do like some of the innovation some things apple does, but then you see them trying to make more monopoly. And I will not have it. Example: I think the apple watch was the best smart watch but it's not compatible with Android. Or switching data to apple is easy from Android, but massive mess to go back. I don't want to be imprisoned in the expensive ecosystem. My hope is to break down their selfish walls. The only way to do it really is Google samsung etc to be much better. But we got a lot of work to do

    • @dannylopez9109
      @dannylopez9109 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had it now for 3 days. It is pretty good. Turn off the display "always on". The more that you use it, meaning the screen on, the faster that the battery will deplete. It lasts at least a day so far, but I've been using the watch to set settings, and doing a few ECGs and at first I had it set to record heart beats per minute continuously which obviously will use more battery power. You can change that setting to every 10 minutes or to only use manually. BTW, most, if not all of the settings and recorded data, can be set and viewed on your Galaxy Phone, which also saves using battery power on the watch since the screen is turned-off when viewed on the Galaxy Watch at that time. I also started using it for snoring detection and recording; That part only works if you have your Galaxy Watch connected to a power source. It worked great for me.

    For running I would definitely choose the GW4 over the classic model. Less weight equal less bounce off the watch on my wrist and that means better and more accurate heat rate data information. Not to mention better water and sweat resistant band.
    If I'm not mistaken the resistance of the glass panel is a bit better too while the classic uses normal DX gorila glass since it has the rotating bezel working as a bump.

    • @MiracleWarriors
      @MiracleWarriors 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@abhi0live I know this for personal use. I had the Watch 3, ,original GW and Active 1.
      The less heavy the watch is, the less it bounces in your wrist it gets better and faster accuracy data from the heart rate monitoring. The wrist strap in the Active line also had a better lockdown versus the normal big Brothers with rotating bezel that normally had a different kind of silicone ( or leather) wrist band.
      Knowing this and because I like running so much, that I will "replace" my GW3 with the GW4 ( Active 3 or 4) instead. Not just because it is less expensive.

    • @abhi0live
      @abhi0live 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MiracleWarriorsThis time the bands are interchangeable between gw4 & classic (20mm both). The bigger one will bounce more depending on how good the fit is but I couldn't find any references regarding less water resistance and difference in the gorilla glass between the two.

      @MiracleWarriors 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@abhi0live not sure about the GW4 family but the GW3 had a less resistant DX ( screen) while the Active 2 had DX+ . This is just about cost reduction probably. I'm guessing the same is happening with the GW4 and GW4 classic .
