I love this album (still have the vinyl, too). Even though this album came out late 70's, someone pointed out a while back that if you look at the cover in the mirror, you'll see the U and P look like 9 11 perched right above the twin towers.
This song is about guys in a band playing from town to town in different locations and country's and getting together with some girls in different places and saying goodbye Mary goodbye Jane will we ever meet again! Goodbye Stranger
True, the Whole album is solid. Back then, I bought 2 of each album I bought. So I didn't have to get up to change it to the other side. Few radio hits too.
"Moving on up" if I remember correctly was the intro theme to the very popular American television show back then called The Jeffersons. It's funny you know about it!
Sweet, Ace! Happy new year to you! Totally groovy tune, now in your collection, as is understandable. Imagine finding a great dancer as a dance partner for this -- you two would tear the dance hall up!!!
That album cover with the waitress is iconic unto itself and it fits so well with the title of the album which is, Breakfast in America. It was a huge album for them. But they had a huge hit a bit earlier with a song called Bloody Well Right, from their Crime of the Century album it's just addictive, lol. You were totally cracking me up there at the end of the song.
Sweetheart, you've enjoyed this so much, you just have to listen to the album version of Child of vision. Oh hell, then go on and listen to the whole album and come back and tell us about it. Breakfast in America is definitely one of the best albums out there, ever! This has been fun.
This is the first I've heard of your high jumping career. I bet you were really good at it! You seem to have the right kind of body for it. I wonder what your highest jump was? That's really cool you did that. Sorry to hear about your injury. To answer your request: Next for them I would say "School", "Breakfast in America", "Rudy" , "The Long Way Home", or "Hide in Your Shell".
Hahaha..that was funny watching you, I knew you would take off and your grin would get even bigger! "Ah, the song is good...!" YES, don't talk so much about barking dogs, wait and see what happens in the end! 😂
Can’t get enough of this song!!🔥🔥🔥
Love this song since my childhood❤
Best guitar outro....EVER.
I played this to death on my car cassette and I still have my vinyl record of "Breakfast in America". Loved that album
I was right there with you brother!!!

Lots of great stuff from Supertramp. I had this very album.
That whole album got airplay. Some tunes more than others, but it kicked the door open for them in the US.
I was in middle school. Remember it well.
I think the TV show you're referring to was "The Jefferson's "!!! Loved that show!!!🎶🎼🎵🎸🎧🎤🥁🎹🔥🔥🤘🤘💜

Happy New Year! Great song, great reaction!
you should ABSOLUTELY listen to this entire album; CLASSIC!!
Been listening to Supertramp for 40+Yrs! The TV show you were inquiring about was: The Jeffersons" Great Reaction!! Happy New Year to You too!!❤
Take the long way home next
Take the Long Way Home is a great song and the most rockin'-- Bloody Well RIght. Both are iconic.
The whole album is great, but the real hidden gem is “Child of Vision”, IMO.
Yes, yes and YES! The piano!
Great Reaction to a great classic song and group.
My favorite song from Supernatural!!

Happy New Year Ace... Stranger is indeed an excellent workout song!

Child of vision.
The Long Way Home from the same album.
You should see the live version 🔥
One of my favorite albums. Thanks
Moving On Up is from The Jeffersons
Early Morning Lover! lol
Movin' on Up was from the Jefferson's. You must have watched that on old reruns. Your not old enough to have watched it when it was actually on TV.

You need to hook in a line leveler, because every time you you talk, the songs volume goes down. It makes it hard to listen to.
You'll end up playing every song on this album. Greatness and a similar enjoyability akin to ELO. Crimes of the Century is darker but still tasty!
happy new year
some great guitar solos demonstrate a mastering of the instrument, and some just sound cool!

Not sure where you live brother, but if you ever find yourself in ohio, holler. I smoke up some meat, drink some and have a bowl or few.
Ace lives on the Caribbean Island of St.Croix
