CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Bo (Seann William Scott) wins the road rally and then tries to make it to the courthouse for the strip mining vote.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
The General Lee is back and so are the Duke boys in this big-screen adaptation of the hit TV series, brought to you by Jay Chandrasekhar of the Broken Lizard comedy troupe. Set in the "present day," the story follows Bo (Seann William Scott) and Luke (Johnny Knoxville) as they cruise around Hazzard County and wreck havoc in their classic 1969 Dodge Charger. Together with their scantily clad cousin Daisy (Jessica Simpson) and moonshining Uncle Jesse (Willie Nelson), the two good old boys battle the corrupt county commissioner Boss Hog (Burt Reynolds) when he and local Sheriff Roscoe P. Coltrane (M.C. Gainey) threaten to take away the family farm. John O'Brien has the lone writer's credit on the film, though additional uncredited rewrites were handled by the Broken Lizard gang.

warnabrothers said no more dukes movies and they only used 3 general lees the one u seen was used thru the whole half movie because of taking away these cars from existing the hazzard in Hollywood movie and reuion were a one general lee movie if it was damaged beyond repair the movie was cancled because warnabrothers had one general led left in thier warehouse from 1981 when it ended all the remaining where all bought by the people from the sets that wanted one after it ended that currently general lee sits in ben joness personal home garage on a lift never to be driven again bo duke and luke left the show in the fith season because the show was booming in money that they wanted more money and they were deined sp they left 1 month later viewers stopped watching the show was going under so warnabrothers did what ever they could to bring back john amd tom to finish the last 2 seasons they got 15 percent more money than they did the first 4 seasons this all came from john him self i ran into him walking around on a beach in flordia

I will always love this movie and this scene especially. I know people hate on it, but I don’t care. It’s not better than the TV Show at all, but I still think it’s great. A lot of people don’t get it that these Dukes are in today’s world and not back then. It’s not going to be exactly family friendly like the TV Show was. It’s being put in a more modern direction. I still think this film is hilarious to this day. One of my favorites that I grew up with.
Yeah, compared to other films about car chases that have loads upon loads of CGI, let's give this movie some credit by respecting SOME of the show's source material by using as little CGI as the TV show did.
Plus this movie has Johnny knoxville, it wasn’t gonna be family friendly to begin with

Its awesome no doubt. Todays Charger doesnt cut it for me though. It looks like a famiky sedan mixed with a muscle car. General Lee was one of the two coolest cars on tv.

I feel like the people that hate on this movie are the the same people that don't understand that these aren't the same dukes that they were back in the day, them going to Atlanta is a representation of society shifting into a more modern age and this is how the dukes would act. More of a spin off of the show but it's awesome and some damn good acting as well.

99 percent of the chargers in this movie was a charger frame with a crown Victoria chasis
I heard they had 25 or 26 Chargers total, most of which were 1968 and 1970 Chargers, which were converted to 1969 ones. As for the jumps, they used air-pressure-powered catapults. Meh, that’s still better than the miniatures used in seasons 6 and 7 of the TV show. That’s 1 good thing about this movie.
