I started the video wondering if i should buy a bionicle set and relive a bit of my childhood and im ending it never wanting to see another bionicle again. Jesus.
Bionicle G1 was so cool. There were comics, novellas, short stories posted online -- the story, at its peak, had a superhero-esque quality to it, if not at the scale that superhero universes spin out stories. But it was a universe with multiple stories told across different media in different periods of its timeline, and I was entirely captivated by it. It was flawed in many ways, but it was great too, and it was extremely formative for my sense of storytelling and aesthetic. So you can imagine how I might feel about the jizz thing. That specificly is a Ta-Matoran named Balta, a member of the Matoran Resistance on Voya Nui, who is fighting against a band of ex-Dark Hunter Skakdi that call themselves the Piraka(a Matoran obscenity meaning thieves and murderers, who are using a substance(it is a spoiler to reveal it's true nature) to enslave the Matoran on the island so that they can get the Kanohi Ignika. It is really quite simple...
