I come back to this match time and time again. The resilience Iga showed in the third set after squandering several important points is still baffling to me. She was a rock. If I am not mistaken, after this win, she said "I will never doubt my strengths again". This win made her grow, and gave us Iga fans so much hope for the future! Jazda! 💪
I’m super happy/proud of what she’s accomplished so far, but Damn I wish she had more Grand Slam success on other surfaces. I believe she’s 1/14 on the other surfaces for Grand Slams (only won one US Open so far, lost the rest, snd never won Wimbledon or Aussie Open). Imagine she won even just a few of those, even just 20% !!! She’s be 22 years old and could potentially have 10 - TEN!!!! - Grand Slam titles already. Even if she just captured 1 of those per year she’d be near 10, nevermind more than 1 lol sheeeeessshhh… She could have made even more history than she already has, and this not only on the womens’ side, but history in general! Pending her health she could have gotten up to over 30 slams, easy. Who know’s, though, I’m smelling some _calendar slams_ incoming 😉😉
I have no idea where Muchova's health condition or play level at the moment but, when I watch how she played on clay against the most tenacious female player at the moment in the final of French Open last year, I cannot help but have a big hope for her native country for the Olympic medal this year. OMG, she can play and mesmerize her opponents from everywhere. Love her attacking all- court tennis, so unique nowadays.

The crowd was obviously cheering for iga in the 1st set. But when Karo was serving at 2-3 in the third as well as iga serving at 3-3 in the 3rd set, the crowd actually cheered when karo won several amazing points. Can someone enlighten me on which winner the crowd wanted?
I believe the point at 2:39:34 was the turning point of the match. a poor shot choice from Muchova again handed Swiatek back the break which allowed her to serve to get to 5-4 and she able to exploit the nerves of Muchova to claim the 6-4 win in the 3rd set. Had she won this point she would've been in a great spot to go up 5-3 and if she had done so the point at 2:44:35 would have been a Championship Point and would have placed Swiatek under an extreme amount of pressure (especially being down 0-30 in this service game).
Swiatek looks so pretty with her hairdo in tennis courts. But when she doesn't play and let her hair falls it's kind of frightening me a bit that I feel as if I was watching an horror movie.
