You should try the RevAir reverse air blow dryer yo blow dry your hair. It seals the hair cuticle better and gets the hair straighter so that the hair is straighter in less time after you blow dry it so that it’s easier and faster to flat iron it. Also try the Chi flat irons with the digital controls because you can control the heat better. It’s best not to take the heat past 375 degrees and always use a good heat protectant. I have the revair. Compared to the tension method blowdrying it does not get that hair as straight. It's good for stretching the hair out as it dries. It reduces how much hair is lost during the blowdry process. If you want a silky silk press then use the revair, tension method blowdry and then straighten. Yeah it sounds like a lot of work but trust me it's worth it.

I just use regular shampoo. I pretty sure its considered a clarifying shampoo 🤷🏾♀️ I don’t put a lot product in my hair so I don’t really have an issue with build up.
