Let them fight it out is such bad advise, but I'm glad it worked out for your cats. Introduction usually should go in small steps. Keeping them in seperate rooms, and switching out scents the first week(s), which can be by swapping blankets, toys and even switching rooms. The next step is for them to smell eachother through closed doors and after that clear doors/windows, so they can see and smell but not touch. Associate positive things with them seeing and smelling eachother, like giving treats and food. If all that goes well and without hissing and such, you could try and actually removing all barriers and again make their meetings as positive as possible with including whatever they love, usually food and treats. The whole process can take up to a few weeks/months before they've completely bonded and (hopefully) accepted eachother. I've never had introductions fail doing it like that. Now have a happy cat family of four ❤ one of them even a calico girl that had a very bad rep at the pound and she had a room to herself as she did not tolerate other cats when she was there. Now she's the most easygoing of the bunch ❤

you should interrupt any fight if it gets too violent. theses slaps are okay but if one runs away and the orher follows and continues to attack, if theres fur flrying around or you hear loud screaming esp when ur cats arent really the loud tyoe then you need to intervene
I'm a cat foster. You should not interrupt fights as cats almost never fight to the point of serious injury, although it can look quite vicious! When you physically interfere you are more likely to cause them to accidentally seriously injure each other. Another tip that's counterintuitive is to comfort the more dominant one. If you comfort the weak one the fighting will continue for longer than it needs to. It was a hard lesson for me but ive found so much success. I integrate baby litters, it feels so wrong but they aren't humans. We need to respect their differences from us 🐾
Pure very lucky they got on in the end... Sometimes, when you expose two cats to each other for the first time, they have have serious fights and can cause actual physical serious injuries... Once they take a dislike to each other, sometimes they never take to each other...
We had gradually introduced our new kitty to our original guy, to the point that they could share a bed or the couch without fighting. They just ignored each other. Two months in, we were gone one evening. New kitty got bit and the bite abscessed. A $400 veterinary bill later, we keep them entirely separate. We just can't afford it. I've told my family that the next time we want 2 cats at the same time, they need to like each other BEFORE we adopt them!
I heard u make it easier by giving them a plastic barrier so they get used to being around each other. and faster since there's no back and forth. Get them used to eating near each other etc.
It's advisable to keep them separate and trade their blankets around to get them used to the scent. Then if you have something that works to create a bit of a barrier to let them hear/talk to each other/smell maybe even see each other if possible. That helps the anxiety in some cases. They may still have some fighting/boundaries to set but this definitely helps. Also make sure to spend some extra alone time with the "big sibling" to make sure they know they aren't being replaced/aren't going to lose your love. Jealousy is definitely an issue with some animals 😅
Introduce them the right way, keep them in separate rooms for about a week and slowly let them see /sniff each other, give them treats when they smell or see each other so they associate good things with the other cat (like food)

He’s like she just needs some extra love and pampering 😂❤!
Yes, there's always jealousy, at first but they work it out and realize they really need each other. After all they start out with bros and sis's, they just need to get back to that mindset.
Such beautiful cats and lovely owners. Much love to you ❤❤❤
They have a great set up for those Kitties. The cat tree and the shelf for em to look out the window. Really thoughtful.
FUNNY…! I ESPECIALLY LOVE the opening frame when one cat’s staring & there’s that music!! 🤣😂🤣😮☺️❤️. I’m glad they now get along…. ❤️❤️🥰
Beautiful precious adorable cats! ❤
Be careful with the flea treatment! My kitty gigi almost died from cleaning her sister after they were treated with topical flea med! Cost me $1700! And it was scary! Convulsions etc. Gigi is ok. Your kittys are sweet! 😊
That’s not sibling love. That him serving his Queen 🤣🤣🤣
The footage at the beginning, apart from her hissing, is just playing. That would be a HUGE win to me.
Both so pretty and so sweet. Blessings all. 💕 🤗 💕 😊
