Elephant Nomads of the Namib Desert (2008)
Natural World follows two females as they guide their youngsters safely through the year, making sure they grow strong enough to endure the long treks that take the desert elephants to their next source of food. From the wild and remote shoreline of the Skeleton Coast, via the towering sand dunes of the ancient Namib Desert, to the high Kabere mountains of the interior, this is a fascinating journey with a unique group of animals.
Welcome to BBC EARTH! The world is an amazing place full of stories, beauty and natural wonder. Here you'll find 50 years worth of entertaining and thought-provoking natural history content. Dramatic, rare, and exclusive, nature doesn't get more exciting than this.

@@vipr1142 through suffering and tribulation, we adapt and grow stronger. The next few generations of elephant might need less water and nutrients than the early generations. It’s always the survival of the fittest and soon only the strong genes wills remain to make the best babies.
