Very nice. Don't get the 'crab' thing though. Seems like a normal variant of normal TT footwork. All I'm seeing is good footwork.

Great video and world class editing from the boys. Personally I would prefer to be beaten 11-0 than someone giving me a mercy point. Mercy point is like saying 'you are rubbish, here you go mate have a point'
That seems more like your insecurities speaking. It is just a matter of courtesy, don't be so self important.
I 100% agree with this. Giving that 1 point away when you lead 10-0. Or getting that 1 point for free when other is leading 10-0. Is probably the most disrespectfull to do.
Pretty sure the guy Jan played would not have been happy if Jan gave him that one point.
@@dgv646 I respect your opinion. But by gifting a point, you can allow the opponent to win a few more points and build a momentum into the next game. It could potentially cost you the match. So if the opponent is similar level to you, it is best to beat him 11-0 and win the game. I can agree with you if the opponent is at a much lower level than you, you can give him a point no probs.
@@1Joolia yes Marc Castro is a very good player. He doesn't need the ringer to give him a point. I'm sure the 11-0 wouldn't bother him, he was probably just focusing on the next game anyway.
@@TTDPocketRocket if the other guy has no honor sure but in all seriousness, 1) people are not like that, the whole idea is that you're extending a courtesy to the other player an he will do the same 2) the other player is not really going to score 10 points in a row, come on. I guarantee you the scenario you mention is something you have never seen and you can go around asking and you'll find nobody who has ever seen it also.

Thank you guys for the great content. Awesome as always. I have to say It is inspiring to see Dan improve so much in the past two years. I think he always had great basics but tended to be a nervous nelly during games. Now he’s way more relaxed in game and can translate his basics into performance during games. Great to see hard work pay off.

Great video, as always! While the equipment check was only there as a quick gag, I would love to hear players explain their current setup, especially for the players with more exotic playstyles, like Dave Barr, Chris Doran, or Daniel Moses.

I think 11-0 is a choice, and it shows the opponent that you actually commit to the game, it's a respect to the opponent.
You give the opponent a point and then you might start to slip, or, the opponent didn't even ask for the sorry point.
Lastly, no rule says 11-0 is not okay, so why not if you have the chance?
I let an opponent have a point once, a few lucky shots later, some good shots and suddenly he was back in the game. I lost. I always go for 11-0 now. If I get beaten 11-0 I put it behind me and go again.

I didn't win 11:0, but back in older times (when we played to 21) I was losing 3:18, recovered and won 21:19. It was a club game, nothing special, but a thing to remember)

Does TTD still play / compete in the British Table Tennis League? I am also curious to know about the current and the former TDD Junior Team, if there is one. Obvioulsy Louis aka "The Beast" plays in the Senior Team and in Germany, right? Amir aka "The Silent Assassin" seems to be playing for One Direction now which brings me to "The Dane"? Last but not least, will Christoph be back in 2022?
