I enlisted and graduated Ft. Jackson July 1965. We lived in 6 man tents due to the massive call ups. While on bivouac a very large tornado like storm came up. Several men were struck with lightning. Upon returning to the company area, our foot lockers, wall lockers, tents, bedding were strewn everywhere. C-1-1. I personally do not like the new Army headgear. I’m old Army. I also prefer Army Khacki.
The Class A uniform looks different than when I went through in 86. We had all greens with envelope caps. The women speaking on the microphone sounds like a robot and so mechanical, literally reading without much feeling.
So this was graduation on January? I'm just confused because most of the Ft. Jackson graduations I've seen have the graduates wearing the Class B uniforms. But here it's the Class A. Was this due to weather or time?
How the fuck are these soldiers graduating at E-4 Specialist ranks????? Genuinely confused how they joined the mafia straight out of Basic Training🤔...

No, you get the The National Defense Service Medal, and an Army a Service Ribbon after completion of IET.
