    Hi Kenny! First off, thank you for all the tutorials. They ALL have been immensely helpful on learning Reaper. One question I have that I have been having trouble finding is how to record the midi and have it record the midi notes to the grid. I understanding being on time with the metronome can be a factor, but even when I just hit the snare to the metronome the midi notes are always off. Currently using a Yamah DTX502 electronic kit, Clarrett 18i20, and the block size in Reaper is set to 64 for e-kit tracking. My biggest issue is that the quantize function gets confused with some of our full drum parts, and manually adjust every note is incredibly time consuming. What else can I do to fix this issue? Thanks!!

    enjoy your videos, I downloaded this Steven slate free version I have a question my e drum kit is the Alesis Nitro mess kit I'm running Windows 10 using Reaper as my software, everything is working fine through the software I just have one issue in the Steven slate drum set you see on the computer screen the small symbol just above the high hat is coming out as a splash symbol I do not like the sound trying to change it to a crash symbol I've tried the mapping with no success just shows a message you want to cancel mapping I can't do anything unless I close it. So I'm not sure how to change this symbol sound when I hit my crash symbol on my kit it gives the sound of a splash so I just want to change that to a crash what is the easiest way to do that thanks hope you can give me some suggestions keep up the good work.

    Hey man. Thanks for the content and help. Question: So right now I'm using slate drums in reaper and learned how to single out the drum outputs so I could control the volume of each one. But the problem i'm having is trying to figure how to get each one to have its own midi track when I play. For example: I have one midi track with the midi drum beat but i want to be able to single out the kick/ snare/ etc on its own track to mix it. Is there a faster way to do it instead of copying the full midi drum track, pasting it in the KICK drum track, and deleting everything else other than the kick? I hope that all made sense. Any assistance helps. Thank you!

    • @cthulpaspawn
      @cthulpaspawn 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Track > Insert Virtual Instrument on new track > select SSD, "Build Routing Confirmation" pops up - Select Yes. Now the VST is setup for multi output. Then within Mix window of SSD, you can change the outputs of each track. Kick to "out 1 st," Snare to "out 2 st," etc. I'm not sure if there's an "easy" way to cascade the outputs within SSD. I just did it manually in SSD and then saved that group of tracks as a Track Template. Hope this helps!

    Reaper is not finding the plugin where I sent the downloaded content to in the specified folder. I've tried rescanning for plugins, installing the plugin manually through preferences. I've put the plugin file in other folders, to my desktop, and Reaper still cannot find or open it up with my VST's or VSTi's. I'm on a 64 bit Windows 10 system, and have the ASIO 4 All driver installed. Other drum plugins I've downloaded work just fine. Any help would be appreciated.

      @@brianmaxfield8569 I emailed them and they had a rep connect to my computer with Team Viewer app remotely to install the plugin. The SSD rep was able to do install and open up the plugin successfully. I think opening Reaper up as an Admin, installing the plugins to your program files in the VstPlugin folder, or regular program files folder should do the trick. Some plugins or effects come with the installers so you'll have to install them and the instruments or samples they come with after unzipping so they can be recognized by your daw when you scan for them.

    The installation process requires you to be online, so if you run your studio computer offline then this WON'T WORK. So that is a big NOPE.
