Absolutely spot on in regards to the gamma X ergo cutting cleaner, it's my first clipper from another company outside of Wahl and what a difference I noticed, every guideline you put in is clean first time and with Wahl I found myself wasting time going over and over things
Yessir! That’s why I’m running 3 and swapping out the blades for other brands and just using the Ergo body. Instead of a cordless master, just put the master blade on an Ergo
@@TheBarberPhil do you swap the cutting blades to? I have put a Wahl fade blade on mine but kept the gamma cutting blade as I actually quite like it. Will have to try the Andis master blade mod on the ergo 😁
@@polskat6226 I can’t remember if I tried it with the ergo cutting blade or not, I immediately put a ceramic cutting blade on when I made my Ergo/Masters combo clipper.
Ergo is fire i just dont like the shape of the clipper and i feel like the dub guards work better when you use a stretch bracket or a clipper like jrl2020s that open longer on its own. You can skip the 0 guard and 1.5 guard entirely with a flick out motion on pretty much all hair types just like the dbl magnetic andis guards.
You would think for the money you spend on them that they would give you a metal threading for your lever screw to go inside. That plastic threading on the black housing is gonna wear out
@@TheBarberPhil not trying to be negative at all. I love these clippers they kick ass. But my threads got messed up and all I did was take out the lever :/ shit kinda sucks man
What guards would you recommend to sub in for the #8? I have some clients that prefer the one inch on top. Any recommendations or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks and love the channel!!!
Depends on hair thickness, density, color, desired style on top. Some people can take on open 6 and still have enough to wear the top messy, and even barely combover. Try an open 7, it’s very close to an 8
I picked up a new SD card the other day and finally hit the record button. Not sure when I will get it out or what it will look like. Definitely rusty and missed hitting the right button multiple times
The ergo that I have setup with the masters taper blade is MONEY! I absolutely love it. The ergo feels way better than the cordless Masters in my opinion
@@mike8462 absolutely. Use the PhilthyMod bracket, or if you buy an X-Ergo it comes with the bracket. It has 4 screw holes, 2 wider holes for Wahl and Babyliss blades, and two narrower holes for Andis and Oster blades
The back of that clipper says “5v” not “9v” I just bought these too… I was under the assumption that they would be 9v like advertised on the website. Are these old models?! Answer ASAP please
@@TheBarberPhil you see the “5v” on the back? It’s on the back of mine. I tried my x-ergos and they don’t seem much different than the ergo. Mine says “5v” but it is an X-ergo
Why do prefer the wahl premium guard’s more? I have regular wahl guards was thinking about getting gamma dubs but I want it to cut the same without changing my system
Idk if it was so much that I preferred one or the other, it’s just that the ergo guards weren’t better than the Wahl guards, so I stuck with what I know
My honest opinion, no. It’s still by far my favorite clipper over any other brand, but my regular ergos and my Rouge perform well enough that you can’t go wrong with them.
It has the clicks when you first get it, but when you remove the lever to swap the brackets out, you can easily remove the small piece on the lever that cause the clicks
Yes, StyleCraft and Gamma both sell a fade blade, as well as Wahl fade blades. The bracket that comes on it can receive andis and Oster blades as well I believe.
Yeah bro.they’re 🔥🔥…youre def spot on about not making as many passes.the ergos have always just ate the hair like butter
SOOO GOOD! Crazy how well they cut!
@@TheBarberPhil no doubt bro.i just got my rebels in the mail today.man they feel and sound good.can’t wait till Tuesday, haha

I’m looooving these babies!!❤️❤️❤️
👊🏼 Ergos and nothing else as far as I’m concerned!
I'm waiting for them to re release!
I absolutely love mine. Only clipper I use anymore besides my detachable.
I like the new video and I hope you had a good vacation
👊🏼, so sorry for the incredibly delayed response, but thank you, it was awesome!

I guess I lean more towards liking the shape of it. I grip my clippers pretty loose, so it’s shape help me with wrist control.

💪🏼, my guy!
if we throw the stretch bracket on do we even need to use the half guard still
Depends on your finesse skills lol. Yes, on certain canvases, you can probably skip the half guards.
blade better than the cordless masters? and why.. im a big master fan lol

Is it clicky lever with the stretch bracket ?
It has the clicks when you first get it, but when you remove the lever to swap the brackets out, you can easily remove the small piece on the lever that cause the clicks
Is there anyway to get the fade blade on it ?
Yes, StyleCraft and Gamma both sell a fade blade, as well as Wahl fade blades. The bracket that comes on it can receive andis and Oster blades as well I believe.
Bro how did you put the babyillis taper blade on the ergos ?
Thats the original taper blade that comes with x ergo
The bracket holes on the ergo fit Wahl and Babyliss blades.
