I was curious as to how you could switch between open- and closed-bolt on the FG42 (and the RM277 by proxy) without having to manipulate the bolt in some way.
Glad to know my question’s been answered (it remains open/closed bolt when switching from full- and semi-auto respectively; it only changes once a round has been fired).
