It's fun how Solas dodges the question about Corypheus' use of the orb.

I always found it fascinating that Solas clearly respects Cassandra even though she's A) Human, B) A Templar, and C) Very distrusting of mages and magic in general.

Seekers are not templars but they created the order.

He respects her because she is honest and always tries to find the truth. Solas has spent his life fighting against liars with lies of his own. Cassandra is evidence of a better way of living and being not just as a Seeker or Templar but as a person he wishes he never had to lie or deceive others. Plus I think there is a bit of subtle envy reguarding her being able to draw a spirit of Faith which even he considers a rare and unconventional feat.
Its likely he knew someone like Cassandra in his previous life who he shares the same level of respect for, or Cassandra much like a couple of the other Inquisitors companions are surprises to him.

Surely he knew exactly who to trust from Fade memories? Every place has memory, he never states how old they are. She even asks him some questions that get close.

@@deathstar6998 I think she reminds him of Mythal in that way. Someone devoted to a cause and trying to reign in the worst excesses of her organization. Mythal was a voice of reason among others gone mad. And so is Cassandra among the seekers and templars.

Cassandra performed two feats that Solas considered very rare and noble. First, she forfeits the position of ultimate authority to someone more qualify without hesitation. As the personal enforcer of the Divine and the person who evoked the contingency that led to the founding of the Inquisition, Cassandra could become the Inquisitor herself, but the thought had never crossed her mind. So when the herald proves themselves to be a leader, she gladly let them become the Inquisitor.
Second, she was able to attract a spirit of faith without being a mage. That mean Cassandra's faith is pure without the desire for power or fame.

Solas blaming someone else for the existence of demons. Rich. Real rich.

He never turned them, he created the veil which trapped the spirits, but later on I think, the humans found a way to turn them, so he’s not really wrong

I think Demons existed before the veil even
      But not in those numbers
      But they reflect emotions
Since there were wars there were evidently negative emotions too

No, he literally says, the spirits always want to enter the real world, but because of the veil they were torn and pulled into the world, changing who they are, turning them into demons, his friend. A spirit of wisdom, also seeks the knowledge, to travel through the worlds, but humans forced the spirit out, by force, the spirit was not ready to enter the world yet, nor did it want to, it got turned against it purpose, changing into a pride demon.

Solas wanted to get into the fade, thinking of how to save his own world hence the orb, corypheus was a human, it was supposed to kill him, but your inquisitor intercepted

    • @nayriacadera6048

@@Avoxxii Following that reason Demons would exist only outside the fade, since those in side have not been pulled through
His friend didn't turn when it was pulled, but when it was commanded to kill - that was against it's purpose
quite a few turn into demons, when being pulled through, sure, but not all
Many turn inside the fade because they are influenced by the living world and the people within
Like Cole was a demon before we met him, he killed innocents because he thought death was the only escape for them. That was compassion going wrong
Or like the Nightmare demon at adamant feeding on fears might have been misguided compassion once because it took away what you were afraid of - maybe not seeing how people don't grow that way
Also not all spirits want to enter the real world. many do, but not all. Just Like not every peasant want to visit exotic Rivain

I wonder if the Japanese translation of Solas’s lines gives anything away about how he sees himself? It would be interesting if he referred to himself and others as if he were older than every other living being, or if he speaks in a way that’s more polite and noble than others. Or maybe even the opposite by being blunt and using fewer, less polite pheases/sentence structure.
