- Dublin Heuston to Killarney Via Limerick. This is the third mainline to be run by Tailte Tours since they became establish in 2022. Their previous tours were Premier Rose and The Suir Lee Knot both which is covered by this channel.
Today's tour takes the Mk4 4008 set powered by 8209 GM Locomotive which is owned by Northern Ireland Railways down the mainline towards Cork as far as Limerick Junction Station with pick ups at Kildare and Portarlington. Train reverses at Limerick Junction for limerick. According to the timetable it is due not to make it into Limerick Colbert Station. Mk4 trains are occasionally brought to Limerick for maintenance reasons but this is the first time passengers were carried by this class on the Limerick Line. We reverse out of Limerick and re-join the mainline at Limerick Junction running non stop through the station and at Mallow before turning right at Killarney Junction. We stop at Millstreet Station which hosted a Eurovision Song Contest in the nearby village in 1993. We arrive into Killarney for a 3 hour break for lunch and sightseeing. What I did in Killarney is not included in this video but I made an accompanied video called Killarney Vlog. • Killarney Vlog Ireland... .
We depart Killarney for Dublin with a photo stop at Mallow. I drop out at Limerick Junction where the video ends.
