Stunning cabinet, and I like the way you used cedar for the back pannells, as the smell is stunning and it's a natural repellent to moths. I like the voiceover.
You are lucky to have access to all these amazing tools and machines….and somebody has taught you well. But you add a great deal of skill of your own. Lovely job on this piece
One of the most enjoyable build videos I've seen in a ling time. Really well balanced, nice informal voice over making the process totally understandable. When creating a shadow gap panel, some folks put a small amount of glue in the centre of the short side to keep movement even. Would you recommend this ? And a beautiful result too !
I would say this to anyone so don't take it personally but you are going to hurt yourself rough cutting on the saw like that. Leaving material pinched between the blade and the fence is asking for kickback. Not to mention those boards had so much wobble in them, I'm shocked you didn't get any kickback and at the very least I would drop the blade a little so if anything bad does happen at least not as much of the blade is exposed. But clearly you are in an amazing shop and experienced, sorry this is my first time watching this channel and my spidey sense went mental in the first 2 minutes, I stopped just to type this. I'll shut up now and finish the vid, I'm not normally one to say anything as I don't use guards or push sticks myself but damn that freaked me out. In 35 years professional I've had close calls but no stitches and currently have all my fingers and toes. Finished the vid, clearly you are experienced, I must be unlucky because I have experienced my fair share of kickback and I do take precautions. Great looking cabinet btw. I've had my eye on the Format 51L, with that cantilevered style fence does it flex much? Maybe you reviewed it, I will go through your channel. Thanks.
Thanks for the comment, I take your advice on board but at the same time I’ve been doing this job for many years as well, I know what it feels like when it wants to kick back and this oak certainly didn’t feel tough cutting. Also if it did kick back it’ll hit the guard on the saw and I’ll have plenty of time to stop it. This was definitely more likely to nip the back edge of the draw knife than to kickback, which is where you knock a wedge in to open the gap back up. My fingers are never close, I use push sticks when needed and always use guards. Everything was very safe. But thanks for the comment anyway.
@@CountrywoodGirl Well done, I looked at the rest of your videos you are very experienced and I meant no disrespect in the comment so I won't delete it. I've been in many shops and have seen many accidents I just had to say something I just believe you are playing with fire. But I have subscribed and will enjoy your videos without safety comments anymore you clearly have enough experience to know the risk. 😁
The voice over is excellent, love it.

Wow, thanks! Totally would recommend, I often do that myself.
gorgeous girl
Great voice-over. Keep doing thay. I just subscribed. Much better than music. But I would usually rather have no sound at all than music.
Thanks for the sub!
@@CountrywoodGirl - Sorry for the typo. That, not thay. 😜
Nice work! Nice video (am I alone finding the music a bit loud? Constructive comment, I swear!)
Thanks for the tip!
Nice job. I personally appreciate the voice over during the video. Be careful with the licensed background music,... it can get you demonetized.
thank you, that's why I have to put music over the top of all my other videos!
Nice work! I prefer voice over. I’m not fond of videos with just music.
Hi Country Girl, have you ever or are you playing ladies rugby?
Hi, I played for my local team a couple of years back, really enjoyed it but was taking up too much of my time to continue.
@@CountrywoodGirl just wondered, as you've got a great build for a forward.
@@peterandbarryraven7103 thanks! I was a flanker
