Great tutorial!
I do like the size of the stamping platform. I just don't really see the point of the stencil converter and adaptor. The stencil would also be stuck down to the sticky mat along with the paper. You still have to line everything up using the grids on the sticky mat. It seems like we'd achieve the same thing by stenciling on a sticky mat.using a stencil that is larger than the paper.

Hi Olivia. Sorry I didn't respond sooner, but I'm just now seeing your comment. You definitely make a great point. The stencil does stick to the sticky mat and the sticky mat does a good job at holding down the stencil when stenciling. However, the unique thing about the stencil adapter is that it has two pegs on it which allow you to place the new Sizzix layering stencils onto the pegs. As you saw in the video, the new Sizzix layering stencils have two holes on the top of the stencils that hook into the pegs of the stencil adapter. So when you are switching between stencils, all you have to do is place the next stencil in the holes and it lines up perfectly. You don't have to try to figure out if the stencil is lined up because the stencil adapter takes the guesswork out of it. Also, if your sticky mat looses some of it's stick (because they do), the stencil adapter will ensure that the Sizzix stencils stay in place all of the time. After using the first stencil, simply remove it and place the second stencil into the pegs of the adapter. It will line up perfectly every time.

agreed, I held out forever on a MISTI, mostly because of the price, just got one as a birthday present, and now wish I had seen this before asking for it, ah well, what can you do? though I do like the creative corners for the MISTI, sigh

Very useful new product for a workstation! Terrific demo! Love the layered stencils, but wonder how they fit to an A2 card front?… some look adaptable, others look like they will be a bit design compromised. I try not to create larger than 4.5” square cards due to postage considerations….
Hi Mari. Glad you liked my video. Although I did create cards that were 6" x 6" square with the Sizzix stencils, some of my cards were cut down to A2 - 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". If you look at my blog post, I have the card measurements underneath the pictures for the Sizzix stenciled cards. Hopefully this helps to answer your question.

It looks interesting but I don’t like sticky grids. They leave a residue that really bothers me and causes the paper to slightly curl when you peel it off
And without being able to use magnets they made sure that you constantly go back to buy sticky mats again and again and again...

You cannot purchase the adapter by itself. It comes with the Sizzix stamp and stencil tool.
The size is very nice but what's the point of the stencil part of the tool? The stencils stay put on the sticky mat as well with the cardstock under them... And without the magnets they just made sure that we need to spend money on new sticky mats again and again. I can't say I will switch to that tool from my stamping platform, it didn't really convince me.

@@LisaMearsDesigns That's true but there are only a few stencils with that feature while we all have a whole bunch of other stencils that needs the same lining up as before. So if I think about it rationally, pros: large size which is really really good and useful, perfect positioning with the few Sizzix stencils. Cons: takes up a lot of space because of it's size, you can't really clean the sticky mat properly, needs to be changed frequently which costs money, can't see the usefulness of the adapters because the sticky mat will hold the stencil the same way, and you still need to position your huge stash of existing stencils anyway. So I think - at least for me - not worth the money. Others might think differently, this is only my opinion.
Lisa, can you replace the lid once you put the stencil holder on? Thought maybe the lid would help hold the stencil holder in place!

Can you tell me why we can't buy the stencil converters I bought the tool just recieved on Friday did not relise the tool did not come with converter iv tried all over and all say the same sold out
