Nice review. How does this compare to the new Peloton bike and the competition? I can't seem to find much videos about Technogym Bike online which is slightly unusual for a product like this

Hi Nizar, I haven't had the chance to ride a Peleton bike sadly, as they are not in my region of the world... yet. I believe the time is close though. So I can't give you a comparison I am sorry. That said the Technogym 'BIKE' is a commercial grade bike, based on their Connect bikes. It is smooth, solid and comfortable. Thanks for the questions. - Nate

Hey! I have a question, I would like to buy the Bike. But do u also need to buy the membership (REVOLUTION) or is the program that u are showing included. So much thanks for taking the time to respond!

Hi there MLG, a subscription is required on top of the cost of the bike.
Keep in mind that not only is it on-demand, but also live streamed classes. Those classes are ran from various locations around the world and you have access to them + the on-demand classes around the clock.
Please check in with your local Technogym dealer for local pricing.

Can this bike be used in a manual mode without a subscription? Still display time/he/resistance?

Great question. I did know the answer, but that has changed, as the BIKE has had a facelift and software update that was only announced recently. So I will need to check back in. Thanks again - Nate

Be honest, with zero negatives, you're clearly not reviewing this bike, you're promoting it on behalf of Technogym. So I'll add a couple of things. The Bike Forma might not have the up to date display or the annoying chick for a monthly subscription, but it does have an accurate integrated HRM (the same readout as Polar) in the handlebars. It also has a far better resistance-based increment on the display panel. All for the same price.

      Hi Zoso,
Thanks for your honest feedback. I take your comments to heart regarding no negative thoughts and the perception I am promoting it for TG. My goal with any video I create is to give people a more in-depth look at a product beyond the brochure or staged marketing video. On this occasion I only had a couple of hours with the bike and didn't have any obvious issues to talk about at that stage. I hope to spend a bit more time with the BIKE soon and can offer an update then.
That said, upon reflection, I can say that I wish the screen allowed for 3rd party platforms such as ZWIFT.
With regard to your comment around the FORMA not having the most up to date display, I just wanted to dig deeper on this point and say that the 'BIKE' console is a completely different offering to any other traditional console we have seen on a piece of cardio equipment. The 'BIKE' console is a portal to access On-demand and LIVE streamed classes from various locations across the world.
In my opinion On-demand and LIVE streaming make the 'BIKE' a far more engaging experience than any traditional cardio screen we have seen in the past too. Unfortunately this also comes with the need of a subscription to access most of these services, but when you look at the market and pricing structures of competitors as well as the price of some app based fitness services, it is becoming obvious that quality content is in demand and at a cost.
Whether or not a price correction down the line will happen in this genre of fitness is anyones guess. For me, I watch this space with great intrigue to see how it pans out.
Additionally, as with your previous comment on FORMA vs BIKE, I like FORMA as an upright bike, but it is not my preferred choice to ride. I prefer group cycle bikes, that allow for dialled resistance and in the case of the 'BIKE' - power output represented in watts.
Also, I have always preferred to pair a heart rate monitor VS use the integrated HRM on the handle bars of cardio equipment, as I feel this to be a more stable and fluid way to monitor my heart across various cardio pieces, especially on a treadmill, where I'd rather be running in a natural position rather than holding on to the handlebars to see my heart rate.
      Thanks again for your insights!
