Led by Jordan Poole's 41 points (10-19 FG), 5 rebounds and 6 3pt. FG in 27 minutes, the Wizards defeated the Knicks, 131-106. Mike Muscala added 20 points and 7 rebounds in the victory, while Julius Randle tallied 20 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks. The Wizards improve to 3-0 in the preseason, while the Knicks fall to 1-3.

As a Warriors fan, I watched Poole develop these last few years into a decent NBA player. What I can say is that I knew he wasn't going to get the chance he needed to take it to the next level. He needed to get out from Curry's shadow, away from Draymond the bully, and become a starter on a team that will use his talent. Lets keep in mind that this is just pre-season and Poole still has a lot of work to do. Regardless, I wish him the best. I'll be following him this season as much as I can, basically looking at the stats sheet after each game, seeing how many points he scored and if the Wizards won. Its going to be an exciting year no matter which player or team you pine for.

I’m so happy for Poole, I think he is awesome and miss him at GSW. I was so sick of hearing the narrative that he sucked, especially on defense. It took Curry years to not get cooked on defense. I think Poole is awesome and hope he shines this year!
I think its more so his decision making / shot selection and out of control play /turnovers that was why people got sick of him, not his defense , which was also very poor... wee regardless , he definitely gonna go off this year

Some people are letting their emotions cloud their judgement. What Poole is doing isn't new. He has been an exceptional scorer since he came into the league. It's like you all casually forget he was their second leading scorer off the bench. Even last year when Steph was out, Poole carried alongside Klay. The Warriors knew all this and still traded him after giving him the big contract. I believe he just wasn't a good system player. They got tired of telling him to play a certain way. And the Draymond punch just made things worse. Because now he was completely disengaged. He isn't the first scorer to be traded from the Warriors. And he might not be the last.

Poole always tend to entertain
They just need to get him to buy in defensively with a secure starting role I've no doubt his offense will be much more consistent this season. While he is slight of frame he is quick as hell so actually has some of the tools to be a good perimeter defender but he's got to want to do it. There were very rare flashes in Golden State that he could when he tried keep most anyone in front of him.
As a GSW fan, I still think trading off Poole was the right choice. Bit of a loose cannon at too many times. Seems like Wizards are a better fit, happy to see it
