You forgot to put lube on the o-ring and the rubber ring under the filter. Plus, do not tighten the filter with the tool ever. It will be really tough to take off next time. Generally for any screw-on filter, it is recommended to only use the tool to remove the filter and hands only to tighten it.

It’s a lot faster to drain the air by hitting the brake pedal. Plus, the DOT will have you do the same during an inspection when testing for the low air warning.

I do same thin every year, easy to take off. I did took it off and live the oring. I knew I forgot. So yes, lube and install orings and then filter.
No lube on the oring or seal?
Well, it shouldn’t have any oil at all. So why to bother… don’t tight it too much and this is it.
