    Awesome car had mine 5 months and the only improvement i will be making is gripper tyres. The run flats are not made for spirited driving.

      It's not fast for 410 HP, without break holding it needs nearly 6.4 sec. to 100.
      My much older A8 4.0 TDI (275 hp & 2.1 tons) does 0-100 in 6.6 sec (without break holding).

      Toyota did say by 2022 they will replace all V8 for TT V6 for cars under something like 100k (can’t remember the price) however Lexus just released a V8 Ls500 and Is500

      Same engine, but de-tuned. The LC will not produce 310 kw. Expect 20-30% less output and maybe 10% less NM of torque. The new LX, due in 2022, will have this exact setup though. Likely to be called LX500.

      Marcel 101 nope, it’s an all new block, only used in this LS500 ( so far). in fact it’s a 3.4, not a 3.5

    Second gear hit 100 KPH, what’s the point having 10 gears then? This thing could at least be 0.5 seconds quicker on 0-100 if Lexus get the gear ratio right.

      10 gears are made for cruising ! Even the LC500 V8 NA can cruise with not a high speed in 10th gear. Dont worry, the mega test from MotorTrend was showing this LS500 F SPORT was the fastest in the category on the track test !

    If im not wrong a naturally aspirated camry v6 could bring similar number. But anyways these is a very good number for a heavy luxury car plus it has twin turbos. Impressive.

      Jack Shotton The current (V8) LX has 530 NM. The 200 series has 650. If the LX can cope well with 530 - and it weighs in almost same as the LC on which it is based - then a drop in torque should be no issue for the 300. Remember, the 300 will be lighter too. Also, the 200 with the petrol V8 had less than 500 NM. But that really was under powered though (KW was ample - I mean in torque).

      @@TheNuclearBolton you're right, it will depreciate by 70-80 percent over the span of 10 years. Big luxury sedans don't hold well dude, no matter the brand. If you have 200k to dish out on a slow lexus, then you have enough to spend on a car you actually like and pay for the repair costs.

    So slow considering it’s got as much power as an S560, BMW 750i, and Audi A8 4.0T. It’s slower than most of those competitors’ V/Inline 6 cylinder versions that are advertised with

      It looks like Lexus never developed a proper launch control, nor did they feel the need to put launch control in the LS.
      And fun fact, the body material of this car is still fully steel :)
