i am a hobby kart driver, so i know how it feels but i am not really good :) the problem i see with karting in SimRacing is the "leaning" (like you said) and i dont think you can implement that in a good/realistic way, because (for example) you add button for lean in/lean out so you could lean in your wished side, it wouldnt feel right when "playing". Also, i dont remember 100% which game it was, but i believe it was Project Cars 1 where you start in karting/super karting in the career mode... this was way back, but the karting feeled so wrong that i threw my controler into my monitor. As much as i would love to have karting in iracing, i dont think it would be a good idea from a buisness standpoint. even if they get everything right, i dont think many would play the series and to implement a nice karting season, we talking millions of investments just to get cut out a year later... Karting, as much fun as it is, i believe its only fun irl. at least for now :) lets see what the time brings
The reason I got iracing is because the devs stopped working on KartKraft, before that KartKraft was the only game I played for about a year just doing time trials
@@venunix in iracing, after you oversteer just a bit, the tires become unpredictable in the next corner. Usually you will oversteer even more, even if you go slower than usual. It's as if the tires heat up way too much. Did you also experience that IRL?

Im a karting driver and would love to have them in Iracing, But I think that I would definitely rather have more support for GT3 and other series.
Formula ford is the iracing go kart
I had the same feeling

I just want to do a lap at the Nordschleife in a kart. Should only take up half my weekend!
Someone probably has said this but karting relies on your body positioning as well to help turn I would assume
They've already scanned a bunch of tracks. Maybe over a few dozen.
HI Is it better to have a stif or soft brake pedal? Thanks
Cool topic!
They have done well with tyre model😳😳
I was shocked when I heard this statement, iracing you always drive underlimit except in formula ford.
Exactly, the worst part of the iRacing physics is the tire model. Even LFS, which was made by a handful of guys as a better tire model.
Hmmm have you ever drive a real race car? Well I assume not
I am a racing driver and I can tell you tath the iracing tyre model is the best

@@dramm33 taths the same tath happens in real life
I hope karting never comes as a priority for iRacing. Much to do elsewhere
