It's not though is it...this place should win an award for the biggest "Instagram Vs reality" illusion ever. Over crowded with drunk Australian tourists sat in it drinking beer, shitty disco music playing. It's fucking horrible. My advice go to any number of hotels in the Ubud area and find an actual infinity pool with a decent vibe, this place is horrible.
Gonna be honest it’s only just a few spots that are really beautiful and gets photographed a lot. Most of Bali is just narrow roads that take forever to drive through and quite bumpy as well. One time it took 4 hours to drive 50km and that was the worst, though that was a rare case because it was like a ceremony and hundreds of people were walking on the side of the street effectively stopping traffic. Oh yea and I also got heat exhaustion, where I live it’s quite dry and cold most of the time so I was not used to Bali’s weather. Though that should discourage you from visiting Bali, because the places that were beautiful were really beautiful so I guess it’s still worth it in the end, also everything’s so cheap, just don’t pay foreigner prices you’re good. I’d say temples are the best, rice patty steps are just ok imo, not as beautiful as the ones I visited in China tbh.

Also my grab drivers kept on trying to scam me, like when I ask “where’s a local place that good food” they would always bring me to a tourist trap and costs a crazy amount of money and they get a ticket probably because they get a portion of what we spend, so obviously I didn’t eat there and never ask for recommendations from your grab driver. Anyways I’m just saying, it’s a good place to visit, but do your homework, not school homework but traveling homework.
