I have not seen these in years...damn. Huge nostalgia bomb rn haha. I used to get this magazine every month and seeing that huge Xbox logo on the top left corner just brought back so many memories. Totally forgot about these games but seeing ones like Superman (I was so hyped for that) and Wreckless...I remember getting high with my friends and playing Wreckless and we hated the way the cars drove but the destruction physics were so good for the time. So many more stories but I'll spare everyone. Thanks for uploading this stuff man
I played Blood Omen: LOK for a bit last summer. Found it on GOG and had good times using the spells and transformations. It was well balanced between sword play, navigating the lands and spacing yourself for magic attacks. I was really surprised how complex feeling the sword dueling mechanics were. Great, surprisingly well realised controls for its time, dark fantasy game
I saved all my xbox magazine demo disks, i think i have most if not all of them, those were fun. Remembering now, I think my copy of Outlaw Golf was purchased because of this demo disc.
I'm jealous, I had all of them pre-2006 but my dad and I got rid of them for some reason. We randomly bring up how we wished we kept those after all these years, they're a cool time capsule
I remember being so excited when the new Xbox magazine was out and checking out all the demos and trailers. Suck a great system. I still have my og Xbox but I haven't turned it on for a year or so
Later on they get even more lame. It just becomes dead to rights disarm. I think they become more interesting when they do halo 1 grenade shenanigans. Oh and system link 16 master chief pyramids. Dang idk if these were shown yet
I find it funny that the top 10 plays of the week are all basically nothing. Like average non-impressive shit that just happens in the game. Buffy the vampire slayer attacking a normal enemy, and there's 3 clips of those. Basketball player doing a dunk. Gunvalkyrie flying around blasting some normal enemies that don't even move. Etc. Gaming was so casual back then, now look up a top 10 play of the week for literally any videogame in 2024 and it's insane big-brain shit that the best of the best players can do. All of those top 10 plays were laughable by today's standards
Project Gotham Racing Perfect Run, Gun Valkyrie and Blood Omen 2 are awesome.
I enjoy this series, hopefully you’ll find and upload the first demo disc even if it’s just a DVD
The classic Xbox is one of Microsoft's best consoles at the time. Just seeing it shows that how much they cared about their console.
It’s still infinitely better than One and Series consoles. For me it’s actually the favorite of the bunch. Even slightly edges out the legendary 360.
8:09 lol this beat IS the early 2000s
This is gonna be good. Nice mix of vibes and learning about perhaps lesser known games
Yeah it feel like something out of early 2000s sci-fi flicks.

The whole saga is awesome.
Back when everygame had drum&bass, jungle and techno as a soubdtrack

@@user-xj3in5gv4p I kept them and other disks i got from magazines over the years. Kind of cool to see them from time to time.
That was Steve Carell in Outlaw Golf?! Lol the things you learn. Great video, as always! Love this series.
Glad you enjoy it! Thanks for watching and helping out the channel!

Suck a great system.

That demo intro music!
I wonder if the US magazine had the same demos as the Australian one.
I think they have some different things. Definitely need to take a look at those as well.
I find it charming that the Top Plays of Buffy are pretty much just regular ass combat from the game.

Love these vids.
I remember these
Cool time capsule videos, current xbox is a disgrace, there was so much energy back then
Bro you sound almost like the videogame historian😮👍🏻
That guy is great! Thank you!
I'm curious what you're going to do once these discs start utilizing movie trailers.
Good question. I guess I will see when I get there.
8 WAY D-PAD BABY
and built in RUMBLE!
I love the top ten plays of
The month. Does anyone know the band or song from it
