I own a discover 2. I have over 400 miles on it. My experience so far...
It's amazing. I own 3 others, including an aventon level 2 and the discover 2 straight up blows it away.
The bad? Starting around 40 miles in, the hub motor started making an obnoxious grind right at 10mph, and would disappear. It has since stopped doing that, but I have no idea why. Velotric told me it sounded normal, but it definitely didn't sound normal. I have 3 other hub drive bikes and none of them make that noise.
My other complaint is that boost mode doesn't feel like boost mode - I want it to have nomad levels of acceleration and assist. I understand velotric tuned the discover 2 for battery efficiency, but with 15 different modes, they should let me choose how efficiently I want to ride. Eco Pas 1-5 should be efficient, whereas boost mode should rip.
Overall though, I highly recommend the bike. Velotric customer service seems to be pretty great (unlike aventon customer service). I'm just being honest about the 2 concerns I had, but overall I do not regret buying this bike.. It's hands down the best ebike I own.
