I am extremely excited for her. She seems super cool for a vanguard. S3 is a QB style skill with multitarget big range arts damage and cc. S2 is a random ass swordmaster skill for some reason. She has Thorns style regen talent. She provides DP ontop of all of the above. What a based woman. Vanguards really could use another stacked member so I hope that she has the numbers to back up the concepts. Regardless of numbers I think it will be really fun and effective to cycle her with QB.
I thought Suzumom being a Mafia was clearly implied by how she sent her daughter to Rhodes to keep her safe and not just for Oripathy and how her dad was a Priest. (Not that we kept her that safe considering the dangerous missions we sends her on, Mudrock is gonna be hiding behind her Sarkaz bros and several golems for the next 6 months)

Vanguard is actually my favorite melee class (my other ranged favorites are Medic and Supporter) so i'm pretty excited especially 'cuz she's a Pioneer, I've got every Pioneer except Saga built so far
It's pretty implied that canine races that aren't Perro (who mostly reside in Bolivar) are native to Siracusa. And it makes sense since Wolf Beast Lords has long claimed Siracusa as their territory
Breh you gotta read 😅 Foxes have no central location in Terra but coincidentally(?) Every country they show up in they are among "nobles". ESPECIALLY Siracusa where they are the #2 race eight behind wolves. Suzu's dad is the same in Higashi. Pozy is another example from Ursus
I'd say she should be a good alternative to Saga or Flametail, there are still people who use them, and personally I don't think that her kit is as bad as other people say. If I get her from the banner, I'll definitely use her from time to time. also imagine if she can actually make DP regenerate naturally on maps like annihilation, albeit slowly?
Vulpisfoglia looks fun, her kit got a lot of things going on but is ultimately simple. She will excel at being a pioneer by holding off early enemies (even elites and defenders with her Arts damage oriented skills) whilst generating good DP for you to deploy your team thanks to her talent. I can't say if I will definitely pull for her when she finally reach EN, but I believe she will be a cool flexible unit you wouldn't feel bad about bringing into any squad.😊
Poncirus is a vanguard that acts as a defender. Now we have a vanguard that acts as a guard. Can't wait till we get a vanguard that is pseudo for every other class. Hell, base Yato is a pseudo fast redeploy.

Well, I'll be rolling for Lappy alter, so there's a good chance I'll get Suzumom along the way. I don't think she'll be meta, unless her numbers are absolutely cracked, but she may be fun to play with. The truth is that most maps don't actually need a vanguard at all. Playing around with low ops made me realize how many stages you can just open with Mudrock without any DP generation and be absolutely fine. Even if there is some early pressure,you can bring Mountain/Chongus/Ela/Exusiai or a bunch of other cheap and decently hard hitting ops. And if you do bring a vanguard taking flagpipe is just an easier option. Also, flagpipe does bring along Bagpipe obviosuly, who is a genuinely good fighter and can stay deployed throughout the stage and keep being useful. Saga, Flametail and even Siege are also solid fighter vanguards who can pull their weight well enough. However, having reliable arts damage on a vanguard might make Suzumom unique enough to at least consider for specific use cases.
Her S3 sounds like a side grade of an evolution of Poncirus S2, Am op intended to stay out for as long as possible, and definitely a pair I will experiment with with 2 sources of passive dp regen seems very good for missions like Annilations or such Where the early half you don't need much and may even enable being able to reliably bring trap masters and merchants with major hits to dp. Poncirus feels super slept on too cause it takes very little to make her viable, like Ptilopsis alone fixes any dp issues (also breaks a few of my other faves like Ho'olheyak 2nd Mod and Erato S1)
Her s3 reminds me a lot of Saga s3, which has me excited. My vanguard setup for years was saga and siege, and I kept saga on s3 because I hated manually activating s2 lol. Also big fan of that DP talent. I always wanted something like that, and now we have it. I wanna see if bringing her and Pon can make using a merchant alongside a trap master viable.

With passive regeneration, camouflage, consistent stun and arts dmg I guess she makes a decent lane holder. Certainly not a DP printer like Ines or Myrtle, but diversity > metabreaking anyways, so it's a good op design imo.

Myrtle's talent provides HP regen for all the Vanguards though, regardless if they're attacked or not. That's why she's still good even after all these years despite being a 4 star vanguard.
I'm stoked for her, and not just because she's Suzuran's mom. I love me some vanguards, tho I also try to work around Myrtle just because she's cliche.

While her talent is better than Thorn's passive healing, when he doesn't get a break. I would say it is worse than passive healing, which Specter already has. Then there are ones that heal while their skill is inactive like Beeswax and then there is Mountain's s2 but his isn't a talent. Still really good to have, combo with her camo. Actually when I think about it, her talent is functionally the same as Hallagur's. Most people' probably forgot about his talent since he hardly gets used. He has a passive healing that stops when he is blocking an enemy, which is basically slightly better than Vulpisfoglia's when both have 0 block. While she can possibly still be attacked by ranged units outside of her camo. Hellagur will still be healing, granted at a set rate.
Vanguards are also in weird sport for me I usually use Scavenger and Beanstalk, or Zima if i need second pioneer, or Siege if i need stats, or Vigna if i need to kill elites, or Blacknight if also need CC... i have a lot of options already, and half of them are "stay for entire map", so i don't know if i need another "stay" vanguard One thing though - giving arts damage to vanguard is more or less cheating. That's just staigt up laneholder now

Well that's a 3rd pioneer to release alongside a limited unit. I have flametail and saga rised, but don't really see the need in another one. Vulpisfoglia s3 is similar to saga s3 in role, but saga seems superior due to high atk buff that can surpass medium def enemy + sp utility. Bibeak s2 seems easier to setup but longer stan and/or shorter skill cycle on suzumom's side can invalidate it. still prefer bibeak s2 here, or saga s2 if we talk damage
I disagree that Vulpisfoglia strays far from the pioneer class. Pioneers are the only vanguard subclass with 2 block with a focus on survivability. 3-5 ⭐️ Pioneers either achieve this through either being cheap tanks to soak up damage while building DP. Or they can be cheap guards who’d rather kill the enemy faster. 6⭐️ Pioneers actually get the best of both worlds with both offensive power AND defensive utility so they can stay on the field. If we look at Vulpisfoglia’s kit, you’ll find how just like her 6⭐️ Pioneer counterparts, she has both offense and defense built into her kit. It’s just that her defense is less obvious than Flametail’s and Saga’s dodge, and Siege’s beefed stats. Vulpis’ defenses are her slow/stuns from her S2, and the stuns and camouflage she has with S3. It is very easy to inflict slow, especially with external sources like Orchid. So you can have an almost on demand stun in your arsenal. Her S3 giving her ASPD along with stun on every hit allows her to stun lock the enemy until they’re dead, which will give her camo. That camo lets her not get hit until she blocks, and the longer she doesn’t get hit, the more she heals herself thanks to her talent. Vulpis fits right in alongside the other 6⭐️ pioneers. Sure you could say 6⭐️ Pioneers breaks the role of a pioneer, but I would argue that this is one of those times where it’s NOT the case. In fact, YATO is the only Pioneer that strays far from being a pioneer. Every other pioneer is either offensive, defensive, and the 6 ⭐️ having both.
I have to say, this event is extremely underwhelming, except for the CrownSlayer. Thanks God she's for free coz that means I can completely ignore this event.

Ngl, from what is shown her kit is a bit underwhelming, vanguard that acts like a guard isn’t something new we have flame tail and saga for that, but this one goes a step forward to make it worth it to let her stay on the field longer or infinitely… except it’s not worth it, regardless of the damage she’ll be doing, her kit, like every pioneer vanguard that’s trying to be a guard, is flawed. The only pioneer vanguard that assume it’s role perfectly as intended (generate dp while stalling by blocking or cc) is Texas since she has low dp cost and can stun but most importantly let’s you start off with 2 extra dp which can be clutch. so to summarise, in terms pioneering Texas is better than Suzumom, and also a vanguard can never be as good as a full fledged guard (if she is I will eat my words), coupled with the fact that she has no support talents that other vanguards or guards might have , there’s no real reason to use her.
Also 2 more things: 1-suzumom’s regeneration talent is not needed when you remember myrtle exists 2-Texas being a 5 star means she can lower her dp cost even further since her potentials are cheaper and more accessible than a six star’s
@@frauflaw100edibleorganicco9 it’s not two dp generation, it’s an extra 2dp to start with, imagine a stage where you start with 0, without her you’ll need to wait for the full cost of the operator you want to deploy (example myrtle will need 8sec because she’s 8dp), with Texas can skip 2s, and depending on a stage condition like lower dp generation like in cc it becomes even more valuable ( there’s no point in having a vanguard that can generate 90dp if you can’t deploy them as the case for elisium and syleach)

Her S3 sounds like a side grade of an evolution of Poncirus S2, Am op intended to stay out for as long as possible, and definitely a pair I will experiment with with 2 sources of passive dp regen seems very good for missions like Annilations or such Where the early half you don't need much and may even enable being able to reliably bring trap masters and merchants with major hits to dp. Poncirus feels super slept on too cause it takes very little to make her viable, like Ptilopsis alone fixes any dp issues (also breaks a few of my other faves like Ho'olheyak 2nd Mod and Erato S1)

Her s3 reminds me a lot of Saga s3, which has me excited. My vanguard setup for years was saga and siege, and I kept saga on s3 because I hated manually activating s2 lol. Also big fan of that DP talent. I always wanted something like that, and now we have it. I wanna see if bringing her and Pon can make using a merchant alongside a trap master viable.

i don't belive flagpipe squads will be replaced any time soon to be fair, unles they make a vanguard with mudrock stats, even tho i belive that flagpipe is just some kind of overkill.
With passive regeneration, camouflage, consistent stun and arts dmg I guess she makes a decent lane holder.
Certainly not a DP printer like Ines or Myrtle, but diversity > metabreaking anyways, so it's a good op design imo.
@@ipatchymakouli415 yea never told other wise, I'm the person that built Poncirus cus she becomes a mini defender, diversity and "role compression" is a nice thing to make cool ops, tho it won't change the fact that at least 60% of AK players will still ignore her cus of flagpipe, is kinda sad cus she's a cool new vanguard.
Myrtle's talent provides HP regen for all the Vanguards though, regardless if they're attacked or not. That's why she's still good even after all these years despite being a 4 star vanguard.
Hellagur also regens when out of combat
I'm stoked for her, and not just because she's Suzuran's mom. I love me some vanguards, tho I also try to work around Myrtle just because she's cliche.
I have Siege, Flametail and Saga. All of them sitting at E0lvl1 bench.

She's like a Guard that also happens to generate DP? You mean like Flametail, Siege (ignore Skill 1), Saga (ignore Skill 1), and all Charger Vanguards?

While her talent is better than Thorn's passive healing, when he doesn't get a break. I would say it is worse than passive healing, which Specter already has. Then there are ones that heal while their skill is inactive like Beeswax and then there is Mountain's s2 but his isn't a talent. Still really good to have, combo with her camo.
Actually when I think about it, her talent is functionally the same as Hallagur's. Most people' probably forgot about his talent since he hardly gets used. He has a passive healing that stops when he is blocking an enemy, which is basically slightly better than Vulpisfoglia's when both have 0 block. While she can possibly still be attacked by ranged units outside of her camo. Hellagur will still be healing, granted at a set rate.
Vanguards are also in weird sport for me
I usually use Scavenger and Beanstalk, or Zima if i need second pioneer, or Siege if i need stats, or Vigna if i need to kill elites, or Blacknight if also need CC... i have a lot of options already, and half of them are "stay for entire map", so i don't know if i need another "stay" vanguard
One thing though - giving arts damage to vanguard is more or less cheating. That's just staigt up laneholder now

Well that's a 3rd pioneer to release alongside a limited unit. I have flametail and saga rised, but don't really see the need in another one. Vulpisfoglia s3 is similar to saga s3 in role, but saga seems superior due to high atk buff that can surpass medium def enemy + sp utility. Bibeak s2 seems easier to setup but longer stan and/or shorter skill cycle on suzumom's side can invalidate it. still prefer bibeak s2 here, or saga s2 if we talk damage

I disagree that Vulpisfoglia strays far from the pioneer class.
Pioneers are the only vanguard subclass with 2 block with a focus on survivability. 3-5 ⭐️ Pioneers either achieve this through either being cheap tanks to soak up damage while building DP. Or they can be cheap guards who’d rather kill the enemy faster. 6⭐️ Pioneers actually get the best of both worlds with both offensive power AND defensive utility so they can stay on the field.
If we look at Vulpisfoglia’s kit, you’ll find how just like her 6⭐️ Pioneer counterparts, she has both offense and defense built into her kit. It’s just that her defense is less obvious than Flametail’s and Saga’s dodge, and Siege’s beefed stats.
Vulpis’ defenses are her slow/stuns from her S2, and the stuns and camouflage she has with S3. It is very easy to inflict slow, especially with external sources like Orchid. So you can have an almost on demand stun in your arsenal. Her S3 giving her ASPD along with stun on every hit allows her to stun lock the enemy until they’re dead, which will give her camo. That camo lets her not get hit until she blocks, and the longer she doesn’t get hit, the more she heals herself thanks to her talent.
Vulpis fits right in alongside the other 6⭐️ pioneers. Sure you could say 6⭐️ Pioneers breaks the role of a pioneer, but I would argue that this is one of those times where it’s NOT the case. In fact, YATO is the only Pioneer that strays far from being a pioneer. Every other pioneer is either offensive, defensive, and the 6 ⭐️ having both.
I have to say, this event is extremely underwhelming, except for the CrownSlayer. Thanks God she's for free coz that means I can completely ignore this event.
You need to clear the event to get her and her potentials. What you're ignoring is the banner, not the event.
@whitewall2253 No no, I mean even the thematic of the event... I've been expecting some good lore of unexplored areas like Minos, Higashi or even Bolivar for some time... but siracusano 2.0? Groundbreaking.
Ngl, from what is shown her kit is a bit underwhelming, vanguard that acts like a guard isn’t something new we have flame tail and saga for that, but this one goes a step forward to make it worth it to let her stay on the field longer or infinitely… except it’s not worth it, regardless of the damage she’ll be doing, her kit, like every pioneer vanguard that’s trying to be a guard, is flawed. The only pioneer vanguard that assume it’s role perfectly as intended (generate dp while stalling by blocking or cc) is Texas since she has low dp cost and can stun but most importantly let’s you start off with 2 extra dp which can be clutch.
so to summarise, in terms pioneering Texas is better than Suzumom, and also a vanguard can never be as good as a full fledged guard (if she is I will eat my words), coupled with the fact that she has no support talents that other vanguards or guards might have , there’s no real reason to use her.
Also 2 more things:
1-suzumom’s regeneration talent is not needed when you remember myrtle exists
2-Texas being a 5 star means she can lower her dp cost even further since her potentials are cheaper and more accessible than a six star’s

@@frauflaw100edibleorganicco9 it’s not two dp generation, it’s an extra 2dp to start with, imagine a stage where you start with 0, without her you’ll need to wait for the full cost of the operator you want to deploy (example myrtle will need 8sec because she’s 8dp), with Texas can skip 2s, and depending on a stage condition like lower dp generation like in cc it becomes even more valuable ( there’s no point in having a vanguard that can generate 90dp if you can’t deploy them as the case for elisium and syleach)
