Old Digital Diary From 1996 (Casio CSF-5550 (128KB))

I found this lying around in my room. I decided to make a video about old technology. The way things were done back in 1996 were different. I am going to try an experiment. I will use this for daily tasks and other things. I will make a short review about my experiences with this device.

The 2.5mm jack is for data exchange. Casio used a male-male cable to communicate between different devices. They also had a modem to connect their devices to DOS machines

Oh I had something similar to that in my college years. Filled it with formula and other stuff to assist my exams :)

I had a smaller version (5580e) but with green backlight display and 128 KB. It still works today what is quite a good quality.
I used it in the years 1997 to 2002 for transferring e-mails from my PC and do offline reading. It was a great feature that you could transfer data with a serial cable between the organizer and a PC. So it was possible to connect it to the internet and exchanging plain text files by using the PC as middleware.
