But honestly, cost aside, I still prefer Asad over the OG specifically because it isn’t as obnoxious. That said, I'm excited to try Maison Alhambra's take on it because they're a clone house with a REALLY solid batting average

I ordered this one i recived it last nigh i wore it to work and 15 minutes in i recived 2 compliments that i smelled so good. It honestly does smell great ive never had dior so i dont know if its anything close but for a good cheap cologne i would recommend.
I got it in yesterday and it is quite the same as Lattafa Asad. Sprayed it on after my after-dinner shower and this morning I could still smell it on my arms and T-shirt! So now I own 2 clones and still want to get the original lol. Have to restrain myself because the clones are so good, especially in the drydown!

About Salvo Intense: It's crazy good. How is this still legal? For the same price I can't even get Davidoff Cool Water 40ml here in Poland. This is 95% Sauvage EDP but doesn't project on my skin for more than 50-60 minutes or maybe after an hour I'm getting nose blind? Maybe I should wait a month and let it macerate. BTW even my friend mistook it for Sauvage and her husband wears it for years so she knows this scent very well. About Salvo Elixir: It's literally watered down Sauvage Elixir. 4 sprays of Salvo = 1 spray of Sauvage. Sauvage Elixir stays on my clothes for days after one spray. Salvo Elixir stays on my clothes for days after more than 6 sprays. And it projects slightly less which is good in my opinion. In my country people are not used to extreme fragrances like Elixir. When I was wearing the OG everybody around me was literaly coughing and that's just one spray.

Guys when smelt in the air and judging off first instant smell (the sameway you'd smell fragrance on a person passing by) they smell the same. And I own both. Definitely good stuff. My brother also owns the OG and when I told him to close his eyes and I sprayed salvo elixir on his wrist and told him to smell it he immediately said it was sauvage elixir 🤣🤣 . In the real world nobody is going to be able to tell the difference. People might only spot minute differences when they compare the clone with the OG side by side nit picking and sinking their nose back and forth into their skin. NOBODY is going to do that outside in the real world 🤣🤣 Definitely a good purchase if you can't afford the OG or if you can afford it but dont want to spend that price on a fragrance. Or like myself if you have the OG you can purchase the clone to preserve the OG and wear clone daily and spray away without guilt (And spray away out the shower etc) 🤣🤣 and use the OG now and again. And guys i get 8+ hours longevity (with clones ALWAYS macerate by spraying 10 - 20 sprays to get oxygen into the bottle then let bottle sit for few weeks. You can still use while its macerating. That improves strenght/performance if performance is not good out of the box)
But that's nothing to do with oxygen getting in but the clones are bottled and sold within days or weeks where designers will keep it in the warehouse for 6 months so it's more about just aging than having anything to do with getting air into the bottle so basically if you buy a salvo just let it sit for 6 months before you use it versus one that came out fresh from the factory. I always try to buy older batches whenever possible but everything is made bottled shipped and sold within a couple of weeks on the major sites
I have asad and salvo elix. The differences are very subtle. Both smell like sauvage elx but salvo is a slightly thicker rich scent. You could probably rock asad on some summer days/nights. I don't see myself wearing salvo in any heat. Im kinda digging salvo a little more but both are solid choices. Asad is cheaper by volume
I’m pretty convinced this was initially brought to the market as a fake which I own and purchased for around $80 a while back. Yep…pretty positive! The biggest differences are the opening and the strength. Elixir has a very potent “signature” bite in the opening that is missing from my fake. The dry down is very, very similar but as he describes, not quite as rich. Longevity is less as well. I feel somewhat cheated, but anytime you pay that much less for something, you might be getting a fake. All that being said, it ends up smelling very very close. Most won’t know the dif’.

The fragrance world elixr clone was going strong after 10 hrs. However, most fragrance world clones do not perform anywhere near that I will admit.
