There's many movies where big changes in the casting has occured during the production, e.g. Back to the Future, Full Metal Jacket etc.

well David Prowse did play vader in the suit for all the OT of movies sooooo yeah i admit his voice isn't as iconic but without him we wouldn't have the intimidating presence of vader that makes the character almost as much as JEJ's Amazing voice. One last note he is wearing a helmet so give him the benefit of the doubt when it comes to the muffle of the lines.

You need to remember that prowse had to talk through the mask. Jones was able to speak into the mic and there were also edited parts to his voice.
