It's truly refreshing seeing someone show restraint and knowing they don't need yarn just because on clearance. I feel like it's so easy for all of us to get caught up in the fomo.
I bought that same caramel velvet yarn! It’s going to be a beanie for me. I almost tricked myself into thinking I would do one of those bead blankets but I realized I don’t have the patience for it!!! But I think a little bag or tote would be awesome!
Thanks for another wonderful video 📹 Sounds like a new learning adventure when you try these new crafts. Those frog 🐸 eyes are super cute and i can hardly wait to see the adorable frog you are going to make with them. I am not sure if anyone directed you to her channel or not, but a lovely lady made sweet crocheted pouches using beads. Her TH-cam channel name is "Rika Life". She is a super sweet and talented lady ❤️ like yourself ❤❤❤😊 God bless you and your wonderful family.
Literally went to mine on Monday @12 pm and there were TWO skeins of yarn still there from the clearance sale. Ig people got there before me but GOOODNESSS GRACIOUS!
I used to crochet pony beads around top of socks with thin cotton yarn for added embellishments. They were so cute. Bought kids socks and sold lots at craft fairs when still in IL.
There were about a dozen clearance skeins when I went Monday the 10th. I was going to go back this monday, but I got a Facebook message about someone offering me a gift of yarn. I picked that up instead!
Hello. Im visiting my daughter in Kentucky and visited the Hobby Lobby in E town the very nice worker was just starting to price the clearance yarn. She let me pick what i wanted then priced them for me. I was able to get all the yarn i needed to make items for donations. Thanks for sharing your Hobby Lobby visit.
My HL didn't start their sale until today. I got some stuff I wouldn't normally get because of the price. So what would have cost me $157 I ended up paying $39 for. So I'm happy about that.
The beads work great for embroidered eyes on crochet stuffies. Or other details, like seeds for watermelon, or a my little pony you could use some of the hearts on the butt. I prefer using them over safety eyes bc I can actually secure them onto the project, not just into the spaces.
I've used beads for knitting. Rather than put the needle through the hole in the bead, I put a loop of thread through. I can then put the yarn in the loop and pull it through. There then is a loop of yarn to knit or crochet into the project. It lets you use whichever needle/hook size you'd like. (I hope that makes sense.)
Each Hobby Lobby tag their clearance yarn as they get to it. so if you see videos about a clearance, you just have to keep checking your local store to see when they put theirs on sale. I'm like you, I've not purchase yarn for over a year but I have a storage unit like the one behind you that is full of their I Love This Yarn of different colors. lol It will probably be another year or 2 before I buy anymore yarn.
Hi there, I did participate in the yarn sale at Hobby Lobby. I found some yarn for a good price. I only bought yarn that was under $2.00. l think it all was acrylic yarn that I brought. I have been making a lot of blankets for Boggy Creek Camp. I wanted cotton yarn but all they had was cotton XL. I bet they haven't marked down the yarn yet since there wasn't any marked with red stickers. If you don't mind not buying anything then don't go back. There wasn't a lot to miss out on to tell you the truth.😊

It definitely is very easy to get caught up in that! I'm trying to be more mindful for sure!

I don't have the patience for it either! The caramel color is so pretty! 🩷 A tote bag is a great idea 😁

They started marking the yarn down the day after I went. I stopped in today and there was very little left already!

That's a great idea!

Etown Hobby Lobby is my local store ! What a small world!
@@kristencrochets wow how cool.
Good to see you again.🎉
Kristen, I, too, waited but didn't see anything on clearance. They usually have SOMETHING, so maybe they are just late?
I went today and there was still a little clearance but a lot was already picked through!

That's amazing! I love a good deal!

Easy stitch kit looks fun too. Like the scene alot.
Thank you!

It does make sense! I might try that on my next project!
Bag is a good color for you; so serviceable & good price.
Thank you!
Hobby Lobby in my area just started Clearance like 2 days ago, and I have been checking on them for a while.
Mine started the day after I posted this but most of it was gone within a few days! It didn't seem like they marked down as much this year.
I got some cotton yarn. I thought I could use it on a WIP, but it didn't work out. So Started another WIP just for that cotton yarn.😂
I know how that is! 😂
Beads I use for keyrings and bookmarks too 😊
Those are great ideas! Thank you!

Ours went on clearance the day after I posted this video. I wish all of the stores did it at the same time

I'm glad you were able to get some good deals for your blankets! I stopping in today and there wasn't much left! Lots of cotton xl though! Lol
I had the same problem with my Hobby Lobby. They had yarn 30% off and that was all.
So come to find out they started marking the yarn the day after I was there! I went today and there was already very little left!
Maybe a beaded pillow, so it could be weighted
That's actually what I decided to make! 🩷
My HL never had any unless it was sold out when i got there
I went back today and they did have some clearance yarn but not much at all!
What about friendship bracelets with the beads. X
That's a great idea!
Really not much at our stores 😮

What state are you in?
Kentucky 🙂
