Happy New Year and welcome to the channel! Thank you for your kind words! They motivate me to keep going with this channel! As long as you find the videos informative and useful, I'm content with that! I will have some more coming next week. I caught COVID last week so I couldn't finish the ones I was working on to be released before the New Year.

Another great video! One thing I Will say is that brightness and darkness aside, Sony doesn’t have that typical handphone footage look. No matter what that look is impossible to get rid of and I actually love the Sony natural compared to the handphone footage from Samsung.
Thank you! I really appreciate that! Yes, Sony avoids a smartphone camera look and that's something unique they have going for their camera systems. I'm glad they're going with a more traditional digital camera look. Sony smartphone's are the only ones I've used where pics and vids come out similar to what I saw on the display. Other phones make it too bright or saturated. I'm working on an iPhone 13 Pro Max comparison and since we know now its uses Sony sensors, it's gonna be interesting to see how it compares to the Xperia PRO-I!!!
I own a note 20 ultra and I am really satisfied with its camera quality especially the night mode and the telephoto zoom...and also is still one the best looking phone...
Yes I feel it's one of the best all around smartphones! It's still smooth and fast with the only issue being the display after two years. The 5x zoom telephoto is still good as well!
TH-camr juan bagnell stated some phones sacrifice frame rate to save phone from overheating whereas sony goes all the way to honor the video fps until it gives warning and shut down. Does the s20 lower fps? Also, sony always record videos at higher bitrate. Think it was 120/150 mbps vs normal 50mbps of other smartphones hence the heating. Finally, the snapdragon 888 is a well known heater.. 😑😑😑
Yes he is correct but sometimes if the Xperia PRO-I is used for extended periods especially in hotter climates, it will drop framerates. Also audio recording suffers as well. I can't really test if the framerate drops on the Note 20 Ultra because of the issue with it's display. It has about 9 vertical lines now in various colors. It's very difficult to see things on it! Perhaps someone else can check it and post it here. Actually this is my final video with it because of the display issue. I feel the overheating issue and shutdown with the Sony Xperia PRO-I is that large RX100 sensor in a slim body, along with the hot 888 and insufficient cooling system. My Sony ZV1 with the same sensor gets really hot too after extended 4K recording but won't shut down because of a larger body to dissipate the heat. It seems Sony was looking to make some extra money during the pandemic with the Xperia PRO-I and the sudden vlogging boom by releasing it quickly without testing the cooling solution thoroughly (of course nobody knew how long the pandemic would last). Still it's one the best smartphone main cameras of all time and if used for short periods in cooler climates, it produces excellent pics and vids!
Hmmm, that's a very good question! Is there a reason you would want to do that? I've never tried it myself. Depending on the temperature, if its really cold it could damage the waterproof seals. Perhaps someone with more accurate knowledge can help us out with your question!
I did some research on this and the general consensus from academia and public is not to do it. It can cause permanent damage to the battery and also condensation inside the phone if the waterproof seal is worn out. But most of these are in regards to putting it in a freezer immediately after a phone overheats. You asked about a refrigerator which typically doesn't get as cold as a freezer. I couldn't find credible answers for that. Smartphones like your Xperia 5 have overheating protection so either it will shut down the phone like my Xperia PRO-I or reduce the power to various components until it has cooled to a safe temperature. The best thing to do is if it overheats, put it next to a fan, in a shaded area and away from sunlight or the heat source if that was the cause. You can also put a gaming fan on the back of your phone to help keep temps down. Hopefully this helped answer your question!
Well not really the last note since the s22 ultra and s23 ultra are a note. They got rid of the note name but the ultra is a note. They had the s20 ultra and s20 note ultra which just combined to make the s22 ultra. I would say they actually got rid of the regular ultra as the s22 ultra is more like the note series. The main thing is the s pen that the s22/23 ultra has.
Correct! I was supposed to word the title as "Samsung's Last Official Note Smartphone" but am limited to 100 letters. I should clarify this in the description. I did hear from official Samsung sources in Asia that the Fold series replaces the Note series. The Ultra series resemble the Note immensely but I think Samsung kept it that way in order not to lose long term fans like myself. Also "Ultra" sounds better for marketing compared to "Note" and matches with what other smartphone companies call their top of the line phones .

Can keeping my Xperia 5ii in refrigerator cause any harm to it?
