This method works perfectly. Successfully unbricked 6 of those things in a couple of minutes. Just make sure that all connections are properly attached.
Hello, thank you for the contribution. I have followed the steps as in the video but the uart update does not do it well or does not update the firmware. the only difference is that I use an FTDI232rl.
Hi, I tried it this way aswell, had only an ftdi232rl usb c programmer. But after flash my was completely dead. Showing nothing at all. No signs of life on the display at all.. Even if the firmware was bricked - shouldn't there be some black letters on the screen that you can see that it has power? Or is this normal behavior with bricked firmware that it looks like without power? When i seached pvvx issues i just saw that you could always see something. But my screen is just powerless.
I've used USB TO TTL FT232BL: aliexpress.com/item/1005002822094696.html Verify you used TXD (not RXD on the adapter) and _3.3V_ output. Also, if something fails during the previous try, retry programming from the beginning. It might be dead only if you used 5v output. Otherwise, it should be possible to bring it to life.
@@AI_HomeTech_Lab I used 3.3 V from the beginning. I read that some people had problems with some programmers. Now i ordered a bunch of other programmer, including the one you used. Will try to revive it after arrival of the programmers. Thank you for your answer for now, I will report back when i tried the new programmers.
I have flashed the same firmware as you did, everything showed OK, but when I then tried to connect OTA to the bluetooth web thing, it still said "2.1.1 is unsupported"
i've ordered and received the programmer you've linked below and now, using the linked one, i have apparently toasted two "lymsd03mmc" sensors. are there maybe different h/w versions of it?
@@AI_HomeTech_Lab Thank you for your answer. I now get a blank screen :( I don't know what to do to sort this out. What do you think I should do ? Thanks a lot for your time
@@AI_HomeTech_Lab Thank you, unfortunately that didn't work. Displays comes on very weakly and goes back off. Battery is brand new and device was working properly before flashing. I don't know what went wrong :( I have another device but I don't dare to try on that one in case it ends up fried too :(
i also must have done sth wrong. now the display does not show anything. jumper is on 3.3v and not not 5v and the also used the 3v3 pin on the programmer. assuming i didn't fry it, how could i bring it back to life? any help is greatly appreciated!
ok now that I have one sensor added I'm having challenged adding sensor number 2. Hi! Here you can find transition and zigbee firmware used for the video: github.com/devbis/z03mmc/releases/tag/1.1.0 You can also try to use this zigbee firmware, that some says is more battery friendly: github.com/pvvx/ZigbeeTLc
@@AI_HomeTech_Lab I did it the same exact way on the video and it doesn't work, screen is blank, but can see it tiny bit when looking at angle. Did it on two devices and according to comments, some other people have issues as well.

99.9% you didn't flash sensor at all. Verify connection between TX C14 pin. And polarity of power connection.
Добрый день, у меня версия прошивки 2.1.1_0159, мне перепрошивать на файл LYWSD03MMC_0130_upd_miaomiaoce.sensor_ht.t2 или ATC_ota_40000?

@@slvrpltd I don't think so. HW revision is the same for sensors bought 3 years ago and today. Just firmware differs.
@@AI_HomeTech_Lab thank you for your reply. i have the 1.6b version. should it work there too like you did it in your video?
Hi there, is there a jumper on RX/TX pins or do you just connect TX pin to sensor's P14 ?

Same here, nothing shows on screen when I put it back together :( I don't know what to do

Which torx size is the screw please?
With a 1.5mm precision flat screwdriver I have removed them without problem.
I used T4
Genial
People don't use this guide! I fried two devices using this and can't seem to fix them.
