I love that crinkle cut knife. I in my own little world have never seen one before. Have you ever tried making salt-free pickles? I read somewhere it uses grape leaves instead of salt but I am not sure. Just curious though. Peace To All!
@@GreatLakesPrepping I love pickles but I have to keep my sodium intake at less than 1000mg per day and aim for about 500mg. That isn't easy but I can usually do it with my girlfriends help. If you ever find a recipe that works for salt free. I'll be your 1st customer. Peace To All!
Good job....the pickles look good. I'm getting ready to can a few jars myself...
Thanks!
Yum! Looks great! Just subscribed!
Thanks Brittani!
Good video thank you!
Thanks Rick!
Add calcium chloride, a bay leaf in each jar, a grape leaf, all those have enough tannins to keep them crispy.
Thanks, Great Lakes! Thanks for the Lena cameo! How is she these days?
Hi Drummer. She's doing alright for the most part. Warm months are usually better for her, so she's pretty good right now.

I've not heard of that salt-free technique. Sounds interesting though.

Look online, especially on the Ball picking instructions for bread & butter picking suggestions section.
Is that mrs wages refrigerator pickle mix?
It's Mrs. Wages Zesty Bread & Butter Pickle Mix. A link to the product is in the video description.
It can be used either way, water bath canning, OR in the refrigerator.
What makes the pickles spicy?
Voice too low in some parts ?
damn lost count on the sugar by going to fast and no recipe on show more 🙄
The recipe on the pkg says 7 cups, if anyone is still interested. This is an excellent video on how to pack those jars.
