    Another excellent presentation. This Chef is amazing. Methodical, adaptive but still very fresh, and creative in both cooking a delivery.

    Eloquent performance, but I’d be starving due to the timing and small portions. This when we go to Burger King afterwards 😋

    • @CrimFerret
      @CrimFerret 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That was the tamest and lamest teppanyaki cooking I've ever seen. Part of what you're paying for is the show, not some dude moving at the speed of a sloth hoping you'll start to feel full on portions that would starve a hamster. Like I can do what he did at a Korean BBQ place only I actually get to eat more than one bite every 5 mins. I'm not saying it looked bad, I'm sure each bite tasted wonderful, once you finally got them. You seriously got more food in the pre-grilling raw items (which looked good as well). I never got why they had these huge flattop cooking seufaces to cook like 6 small items (which they cut smaller) at a time.

      Both of you guys should stick to Burger King! That was an excellent meal!

    • @CrimFerret
      @CrimFerret 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaeljewett4111 Naw, I'll just go to places that know how to time courses. If you're offering a show, give a show. This type of restaurant is supposed to make the cooking entertaining enough that you aren't just thinking "Stop fiddling with my one shrimp tail and let me eat the damn thing already."

    • @einundsiebenziger5488
      @einundsiebenziger5488 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Watch again, add all the items and see how this is a very filling meal in the end. You won't need any industrially made chain-restaurant burgers afterwards.

    • @CrimFerret
      @CrimFerret 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@einundsiebenziger5488 No, just a stop at another restaurant for the actual meal since all I got here was an appetizer. The profit margin on the food at these places is unreal to begin with, here it's almost fraud.

    Great video. How common is tattoos in Korea? Just from seeing the chef's tattoo I could guess this wasn't Japan as they frown upon tattoos. Especially one so large and visible. Likely because of the association with criminals in the past.

    Great video and they have a couple of nice twists in there. I really liked how he did the beef and the soup at the end to go along with the rice was beautiful.
    To all the people complaining about the mask and gloves - his management undoubtedly requires him to wear them because he is preparing $200 / person meals for wealthy visitors, many of whom are probably from the US and are even more COVID-phobic than the locals. Rich American travelers who can afford $200 meals want to feel SAFE. Don't believe me? Go to any wealthy American town and watch them continue to mask their own kids at school.

    • @--Zook--
      @--Zook-- 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it exactly the opposite here on the west coast. The poorer retail outlets and areas have more people masking up again. as they did a year ago. while the more expensive areas had more mask free people. I don't disagree with your assessment on why he is wearing one. just sharing my personal observations.

    • @thatsux0rz
      @thatsux0rz 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Japanese / eastern Asians tend to mask when they have a simple cold to better protect the health of those around them. You saw them pretty commonly even before COVID.
