Great interview!! Preciate the perspectives y’all brought to light! A lot of people don’t get to hear this side of how it is for College football athletes and the grind we went through day in, day out.

Very informative podcast life during and after football. They should partner football players with high schools and local colleges for internships. I agree UTSA should connect former and present players with prospects and to market UTSA.

IMO the program could benefit from better and wider ranging streaming and TV deals. Can rarely ever find game clips, highlights or the spring game online.
The program also needs more NIL money to acquire and retain talent. $200/month isn't gonna cut it taking into account all the wins and league championships and new facilities. The players dont seem to he getting fair financial compensation.
I fear UTSA has already reached their peak. When the NCAA settles this antitrust lawsuit all D1 schools will be on the hook for compensating players of which football shoild get the lions share. I forecast a good number of small tier and mid tier schools consolidating and maybe even canceling football / athletics.
They also failed miserably at transitioning from Frank and bringing in a young qb as his understudy.
