I live in Texas....and it's been between 37° C and 39°C and very humid conditions...around 70% humidity! Way too hot for me to play....my doctor's ( 2 heart attacks back in the early 2000's ) have told me not to play when it's so hot!
Since 1976 summer has been restricted to the south east of England. The rest of us in the UK can only hope for 2 or 3 days in a row when either it doesn't rain or the wind borders on gale force.
Lol, after just getting back from a two week vacation in Portugal and the Azores Islands my dentist asked me we were going next. I replied that we were thinking of England, Scotland, and Wales. She replied, “so, you’re going to a place noted for its bad weather and even worse food?”. We are now planning on visiting Tuscany, Italy.
James, I love seeing your daily postings. The golf is what I enjoy the most not club and ball reviews. (Sorry!) I would like to see more of the surrounding areas on your tour of UK golf courses. I realize UK viewers know the country and towns. Viewers outside the UK may want to learn more about the local areas and get a short lesson and tour of your beautiful area.
James, would you please play and video the Truro for me. I was set to play this amazing course while down on holiday, however after only five days into my holiday I have ended up in the Royal Cornwall hospital, I can just see the first green from my bed. Due to my condition it’s going to be at least two months before I can play again and 12 months before I get back down here to try again. I do so hope you can fit this into your next 100 list. With regards to the time it takes to get round the course. You are a two ball, effectively playing a 1 Ball, mind you as a junior we were always taught, 2 balls have priority on the course, and should be waved through as soon as possible. Also, as you are filming, and I suspect the course management knew, our club would ask its members to give you priority, after all you are promoting their course GRATIS. Still, looks a good track and obviously plays its card based on your score

Erm, if you're starting from the 10th unless it's very early, IE before the first starter is half way round then surely you're just going to run into people? Just like you can't predict you won't get back to the first smack on someone's tee time. I don't really understand how it can work unless it's early and someone is only doing the back 9. I suppose you could in theory if you open at 7 and go off every 10 mins get 8 groups doing the back 9 only before group one get to hole 9. Then again, no food so....
He’s an idea… maybe mark the balls you each play so you can tell who’s ball you’re playing instead of just letting James claim an own baller each time.😅
The first 8 holes demonstrated that, even when you are playing well, striking the ball well, and putting well, an element of chaos plays a huge part in the outcome. The ball spins or it doesn't. It lands and bounces off at 45 degrees in a direction you would never have planned. Putts on the same line, with the same pace, break in different directions. Then, suddenly, long putts drop in batches. They call it golf because all of the other four letter obscene words have been taken. Pity.
I think 36 holes in a day is too much for you boys,fatigue sets in and you loose focus. By the way how many seed’s are you down in the series.keep going it will all come good.
Five hour rounds are getting more common for sure Especially if you got these societies out I think a lot of these people are the lockdown golfers who gave up playing regular golf but still play it occasionally as a leisure activity like they do in the States They never got that good in the first place and now wonder why they can hardly hit the ball They have rubbish equipment and don't know their distances, spend forever looking for their ball instead of playing a provisional, they play stroke play rather than a stableford or par - bogey and don't play off the set of tees most suited to their handicap But in this day and age can clubs turn down the business At my club they make up for 45% of total revenue They out drink the club members 3-1 in bar takings and nearly always hire buggies I guess money talks
