Just recently had to get rid of my 240SX. Had an LS3 sourced out that I had a BTR Cam kit, valves lifters, the works. Was gonna be mated to a tremec t56. Sadly, had to get rid of everything. Nowhere to store it, couldn't afford the storage fees to put it in storage, and nobody would let me stash it anywhere. Was halfway done :( I agree though. Cars and coffee or bust. I build performance cars, do antique/ classic restoration and repair, and build custom bikes on the side. As long as you're patient, you can snag stupid steal deals on mods and kits. Right now I'm rocking a 2003 yzf600r with a 660 stroker kit in it🤙🤙
I don't know about in the USA, but in Australia I reckon there's less modified cars than even 7 years ago simply because of how expensive cars THEMSELVES are, let alone mods. I was always hoping to get a decent first car that I could modify but its just financially impossible in the current economy. Insurance hates mods too
I’m a car enthusiast, but cars are just too expensive now days. That’s why I drive a little 5 speed matrix with a slightly louder exhaust. I’d love a fun, fast car, but everything is too expensive now days.
You know, that is very true. Early 2000s Hondas are going for $3,000-$5,000 nowadays lol it is a little out of pocket. I don’t blame you for owning the Matrix. It’s a 5 speed too so it should be bulletproof ha
@@chillwithkea I love em. This is actually my 3rd one now. Always sell em for something else then come right back every time. They’re great if you wanna hoon on a supermoto or ride offroad in general. But if you do a lot of highway, I’d say it’s not the greatest bike for that.
I think at this point car meets are more social gatherings of people who like cars. I do agree with what you say how people slap on stickers, cold air intake and a slip on exhaust tip and call it a day. That isn’t modded.

Fair point!

@@chillwithkea I got a DRZ400 as well so that fills the fun gap nicely! 🤙
@@OgreMoto Nice! I like the DRZ’s. Never rode one but I would love to have one to do wheelies on and go off roading. How do you like it?

"pull up in a kia with a kiaboyz sticker on it"
yup about sums it up
That guy on the z650 needs gear. He was in his underwear on the hwy
Maybe he was riding to a store to buy proper riding gear ;-)

That’s actually a good way to look at it. “More social gatherings of people who like cars”. Definitely a good point
Totally, and it's for community more that building power which so many cars are overpowered from the factory. EV hard to beat in acceleration.
Ol' Decker Blvd. "International Corridor". Haha
lol you already know
You just got?
I can tell 😂
I just got what? Lol
