- Motivation is the stuff that keeps us keeping on, kahit na alam nating walang pasok bukas, aabsent si sir o wala lang talaga tayong ganang mag-basa. Our motivation can come from many reasons. Often, these are very personal reasons.
Whatever your reasons are for chasing your law school dreams, something or someone will happen - often sabay-sabay at damay-damay na, that makes these reasons unrealistic, out of reach and nearly impossible. Minsan isang sablay na recit, na may kasamang mahahapding salita mula kay Justice ganyan, masusundan ng surprise quiz at isa pang Kodak moment later during the week. Sapat na yan madalas para mabagwisan ka, kapatid at pagdududahan mo ang decision mong mag-enroll sa law school.

Thank you, Sir Lex! If it weren't for your videos, there's a big chance na nagquit na ako 1 month into law school. I've been through medical school and was able to excel without exerting extraordinary effort (I slacked through med school). Law school is an entirely different beast dahil iba ang expected level of mastery. I survived med school through familiarity lang sa concepts. Sa law school, expected na alam ko na by heart ang topic even bago maituro. Expected din na kaya ko icommunicate ng maayos ang mga nabasa ko. So far, I'm hating the Socratic method. Aside from my great lack of communication skills, sobrang nakakatakot pumasok ng hindi natapos ang readings. But in a way, I appreciate it dahil it forces me to study in a way I've never done before. I went through med school studying only on days na may quiz (2-3 hours of reviewing), while sa law school, I'm forced to study for 6-10 hours a day, regardless kung may test or wala. It's very exhausting and I question my decision to take law on a daily basis. Every bit of motivation from whatever source helps a lot (such as your videos). Thank you, Sir Lex. It's very overwhelming when you always put a prayer in the last part, it means that despite everything you've said in the whole duration of the vid, nothing will go well if it is not done through God's guidance/leading. Kudos, kuya lex!
The prayers aren’t really part of the script, but they always feel like the right words to say. When I come back to animate, I think of you and all of law students in the Philippines, who need help. We need help, all of us do. That’s when I feel I made the right choice to pray for all us here. 🙏🏻👆🏼❤️
Yung pakiramdam na ubos na ubos ka na sa trabaho at sa pag aaral pero di ka pwede huminto. Hindi na ako nananaginip sa ikli ng tulog ko at laging masama pakiramdam ko. Alas kwatro na ako naglalunch habang naghahabol ng mga readings. Gusto ko na sumuko kasi naiisip ko, magaan naman buhay ko kahit di ako maglaw school. Kaya bakit ko ko pinapagod ang sarili ko. Monday to friday ang class tapos sat and sun. Tapos naalala ko kung bakit ako nag umpisa. Oo nga pala. Thank you for reminding me, Kuya Lex! Babalik balikan ko to siguro every week.

Exactly, bro! Law of large numbers. Shooters like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller (old school) have great percentages because they have so many attempts.
During the course of your law school career, you will have anywhere between 50 to 110 recitations, excluding volunteers. It's unlikely for ANYONE to miss out on all of those attempts. Isa or dalawa diyan ay shining moments that'll tide you over the bar exams.
Inside a cafe, tryna read in advance (frosh here) while listening to your videos. Realized I was crying because of the prayer. Thank you for praying for us and with us. We are also with you sa nalalapit mong bar exam! God bless you and your team.

Yun po kasi para sakin ang pinakamahirap,pag hindi mo maalala yung reason bakit ka naglaw school at parang pinapahirapan lang ang sarili as working student. Sobrang relate po ako dahil nung college napperfect ko exams namin sa business law subjects a decade ago pero ngayon sa law school hindi ko makuhang mag aral at pakiramdam ko na lahat ng kaklase ko ay sobrang magagaling maliban sakin. Pero patuloy pa din po ako sa law school at baka phase lang to lalo at online na lang.

Right now, nsa point na ako na im questioning my own capabilities, and thinking that im not good enough like the others in our class. Im a bit depressed, thinking that i cant do it, lalo na may mga time na hindi ko tapos readings ko, minsan nagbasa naman kaso nung recit nawala ng parang bula and tambak ako sa readings lalo na nahihirapan ako dahil short ang attention span ko, madali akong madistract or ma out of focus at struggle ko ang memorization. Thank you so much, this is all i need. Im pulling myself up and be on track again. Ill be a lawyer soon. 💪💪

So after being admitted to the hospital for pneumonia & being unable to walk due to achilles tendonitis thereafter, laban pa rin. Para sa pangarap na mabayaran Ng manok para mapanalo ang kaso Ng mga nawawalan na ng pagasa. Little by little & day by day, we are a step closer to making this world a better place for His glory!

I am working and my lawschool journey will start on monday. this has always been my dream, napnghihinaan ako ng loob lately and bumababa motivation ko... i just graduated college this month, this month din ako magiging lawstudent hahahah wala eh kelangan na namin ng abugado soon.
I grew up in a poor family, surrounded by rich extended family. sobrang baba ng tingin nila kasi family lang namin yung kulelat sa buong mag anak. I don't like seeing my parents disrespected and abused by them ng walang kalaban laban. when i was young, promised myself that i will give my parents a comfortable and peaceful lives where people will respect them.

@@heybrooo7718 All you have to do is to take the bar exam in the state you wish to practice in. For example, the California Bar is a three-day exam. Three consecutive days and you get the results in the mail. For ASEAN countries, there's a push to for equivalencies - a lawyer in Malaysia will be allowed to practice in Manila, vice-versa but each state has nuances in the practice of law. I think this proposal isn't going to happen soon.

Hi sir lex. I'm new po sa law school. 2 years po akong nagstop sa school then bigla akong nag aral. Pero ngayong araw po Ist time ko sa recitation na hindi ko alam ang case. Our instructors ask for a handkerchief kasi blind folded ang recit, I got scared, iyong handkerchief po di ko namalayan I used it to wipe my tears. Grabe po pala, provisions po nabasa ko tapos nagbasa man ako ng cases kaso di ko po memorized. I got lost bigla. Advice po😭😭

I'm incoming grade 12 this school year taking Accountancy and Business Managenment strand. I was on my grade 10 when I suddenly dreamt of being a lawyer. Nainmpluwensyahan ako ng injustice system of our country especially to crimes and government, also one of my schoolmate that is currently studying law in states. I am honestly unfamiliar to some of legal, government issues and almost all of the law terms and that brings me to feel unmotivated. I don't think I am capable to think critically and analytically. To think that I want to become a lawyer despite of all of those anxious feelings of mine makes me think if, am I really doing this? Do I really need to do this? Sapat na ba ang gantong kakayahan ko lang para tahakin at pasukin ang law? Random thoughts and ideas scattered on my mind. However, i've watched kdramas and some of the main actors from it were lawyer/prosecutor and that helps me motivate. And the issues from our country remind me how injustice they were.
I hope you also make a video about the process on how to become an attorney. Thanks for your videos, you helps me /us a lot.

Start by removing your self-limiting beliefs. You calling yourself a slow learner creates the reality that you are really a slow-learner. You’re a lot stronger, smarter and more efficient than what you give yourself credit for.
Once you break the chains that hold you back, start with Cal Newport’s Deep Work and next week’s episode on Getting Things Done by David Allen.

Me? I am so moved by my professors na litigation lawyers and judges and I want to be a court judge someday so I can teach the law and even as you said sir, bring real justice where there is none.
Prior to that judge dream, gusto ko din mag aviation, corporate and labor lawyer.
Saka given my pre law background which is education, pwede din ako mag contribute sa legal community someday and bring radical changes na din sa legal education system.

I hear you, sis. Law school is a very different animal altogether. Some professors even make it a point to shame students who come in with the ego born of completing multiple degrees, higher degrees or those coming from middle-management. It's a truly humbling experience, but well worth every hour of deep work. 😊❤️🙏🏻

This is really an encouragement. Nakakaisang sem pa lang ako sa law school while working and sobrang hindi biro maging working student. Nakakapagod bumyahe habang iniisip mo yung nabasa mo the night before. Yung pagod sa katawan, ibang level talaga and after the sem, tho I passed nakakaiyak lang na ang baba pa rin ng grades na nakuha (but I am grateful I passed tho). Di ko lang maiwasang maicompare sarili ko sa classmates ko na nadalian sa subject and matataas ang nakuhang grades. Feeling kulelat. Haha. Nangangarap talaga ako na maging marunong sa klase and I hope this sem I will be able to perform better. Thank you, Sir Lex! You inspire so many law students like me. God bless you and your advocacy!

Good evening po, kasalukuyan po akong Freshies ng Educ Course po, sa Philippine Normal University po ako, bali itong course ko is for pre law ko na po, which is nag double major po ako, at this time, Bachelor of Arts Education po course ko, then after kopo grumaduate by 2022 eh kuha po ako ng Units sa English para po pre law kona. Kung papalarin po eh makagraduate ako ng Cumlaude and naway makapasa ng PhilSat po. Mula grade 5 pa po ako nangarap maging abugado, dahil gusto ko po maging bayani noon. Tatay kopo nag motivate sakin about sa passion ko, siya po ay Lawyer din and the same time, pastor din po sya, bali siya po naging isa sa dahilan para magpursigi po ako ng pag aaral para maging atty balang araw, pangarap kopo maging atty dahil gusto ko po malaman ang tamang proseso na pag dadaanan at gamitin ang legal power para magkaroon ng authority na maibahagi po ang words of God, the same time kahit abugado po ako eh tumutugtog din sa simbahan, at ang legal ang maging sandigan kopo sa pag papagawa ko ng Studios para sa Music po, at makapag pagawa ng programa balang araw na may kinalaman sa Sining at musika po, at hindi narin mawawala ang makapagligtas ng kaluluwa po, gamit ang words of God kahit Atty po ako that day, because for me po Law is the beauty of Reasons, and God is foundation of everything for me po. Salamat po sa inyong mga videos na nakakamotivate and tulong po sakin bilang 1st yr college na nangangarap na maging Atty po someday 😊💞.
At ngayon palang nga po eh hiniram ko na po mga hardbound books po ni papa nung nag aaral po sya ng law. Ngayon palang po nag mememorize, case digest, vocabulary, and reading comprehension napo ginagawa ko lalo na kapag vacant time po.
