Bryan Martinez Trust me, we native Filipinos deal with this problem among certain Korean and Chinese communities here. If you let them, they won't care for you but their own. They even only hire their own for businesses. We've had them for generations and it's not changing for them. Mexicans are simply naive about Chinese culture and ways. They work hard for money for their own community. Not for you.

Filipinos are actually already diverse. The more pure their pre austronesian genes are the more they look like an east asian or can be look like southern chinese (the pure ifugaos in the Philippines were thought to be admixed with Japanese but actually the genetic studies were they are the one of the remaining pure Basal East Asians that are homogeneous and no admixture of any kind, so that's why they look like more East Asians and light skinned but got tanned not much or not little bit of tan because of UV radiation, also they are the pure Filipinos by definition, the known second migration of modern humans after Negritos or Pre Australoid linages, and they lived in the Philippines more than anyone else except from Negritos and other Austronesian who changed into brown skin). There are many Filipinos brought to Americas, anywhere in America. Now they don't know who are the Filipinos and Chinese because they were lumped up together and they are part Indio Chino or just Chino. There are more Filipino migration in the past in Americas than the Chinese themselves and even in the motherland Spain. It's just many (maybe) Filipino ancestry are now treated as Chinese ancestry because of misidentification. If the world decides to take a full 9 billion people samples of genetic study and a 100% full genetic analysis of a single individual. We'll know and find out that there is a massive/huge misunderstanding and misconception and maybe why some latin americans look more Southeast asian or specifically looking more like every different Filipino native ethnolinguistic groups, and not the siberian asian looks. When we say Filipino natives. There are no actual pure (except if we take the homogeneous group that are homogeneous for thousands of years as a pure native) and single or couple of ethnic representation because of the collection of islands (the Philippines) and now the people who lived there are already diverse (also mixed with other groups or even mixed with non modern humans) in every islands. There already different Australoid linages, Mongoloid lineages, different Arabic, and different Indian (south asian and maybe some indo-aryan) lineages in the Philippines. Even the isolation of Pure Austronesians because of the seas and mountains that their genetic distance is really more distant and distinct than comparing chinese and japanese or some close approximate european people. It continues even more. There are also Jomon and another group called Tabon people who are neither Negrito nor Austronesian, Jomon could be of Luzon Negrito origin but not sure yet. These are only modern humans. There are Denisovans and Homo Luzonensis living and mixing with ancient modern humans in the Philippines. Only the Denisovans are the significant amount of non modern human gene survives today. There are multiple chinese migration long before Taiwan, also long before European Colonization. There are also some Koreanic records of pre colonial Philippines but these are not sure. Japanese living in Luzon (Ruson) are indeed true. There were already Japanese living in the north part of the Philippines. Spanish expansion of Las Islas Filipenas from original islands (Leyte and Samar) and to the Cebu island, and then the north part of central Philippines. Spaniards have records on Japanese and Chinese settlers in Luzon island. So, whoever those Chinese that they called in Americas they could be mistaken as Chinese, but they are Filipinos (including pure chinese living in the Philippines) by definition of a native people who were born and lived for many generations on Spanish pre-colonial islands. Those non Austronesian and non Negrito Filipinos lived in different parts of the Philippines and other parts of SouthEast Asia for a very long time like, thousands or hundreds of years in different migration wave of time. Luzon was the main migration of east northern and southern han chinese, and not Taiwan. There's no concept of Taiwan and Luzon being a separated land because they are just one of the lands of Pre austronesian and Austronesian people. Luzon is just big island and surrounded by different Small islands including Taiwan. Luzon is a big land of han (south and north) migration from the east and for thousands and hundreds of years, but they already assimilated or mixed or even got buried by the austronesian dominance of the population and the genes. So some Filipinos today lost an ancestral genes. Including Spanish genes. Most of Filipinos who have R1b genes (People of Spain are diverse too but the specific R1b is the common in the Philippine islands) are actually only a small amount in a single individual that means the Spanish ancestry of filipinos are actually older because of small percentage and almost eliminated especially in the near future. These genetic studies are actually not that accurate. If they concentrate in getting samples in central visayas, some parts of central Philippines, then east visayas especially west coast leyte. They'll discover that the number of Spanish descendants are actually more than what the popular belief was being said and even some have maybe 50% approximation of the genes even though they are actually more older mixture than the rest of the Philippines because of the early and the original Las Islas Filipenas. I've been in the West Coast Leyte and I discovered that every real native there are actually mixed Spanish while some are brown that doesn't mean they are not part of it. It's not the skin tone as the basis of Spanish ancestry. Many of these brown natives have light skin siblings or even light skin parents or grand parents. It's a normal combination there that they have brown and light skin grand parents, brown father and light skin mother or light skin father and brown skin mother, then brown and light skin childrens or siblings. It's normal in there and you can't say that those brown skinned natives doesn't have it because they are brown while their sister or brother are light skinned. Even among themselves, they don't know, and they don't care about such ancestry, they just called themselves as leyteño or Filipinos, much more the rest of Filipinos that there are much more amount of Spanish descendants, it's just Austronesians end up to populate more than a rate of normal production. Austronesians in the Philippines actually not that populated, but they are much faster, much sexually active, and more baby productors than the rest of who are now the minorities. Supposedly the number of Spanish Filipinos and Native austronesians don't have such a big gap. Now the gap is bigger. Imagine the country is small and divided by big forests, multiple mountains, and large distance seas, and their population is 110,000,000 people. Wondering where are these numbers came from and how is this possible and who are they or those who contributed this number. Because of this big number that the people all around the world including the Filipino themselves that Spanish descendants Filipinos are just a minority or insignificant in numbers, but they can be more than a 10 million in that country. Also, Austroasiatic expansion reached almost half of the west of the whole Philippines islands. Austroasiatic are genetically the closest relatives or split sister who share a parent ancestral genes or people and they are splitting and migrating to Vietnam and to the Malaysia and some parts of Indonesia, then the Philippines. They are light skinned and they are the people of non Chinese light skin in Vietnam today and some parts of Indochina, and the Malays of Malaysia today are consisting of Austroasiatic Malays and the closest relatives of the Malay Filipinos not Austronesians. Some Malays are Austronesians who came from the Philippines. There are brown Austroasiatic, they are the badjao or bajau people. Don't confuse the Austroasiatic language of what I was referring (Austroasiatic gene). The majority of the Philippines are still the austronesians. I talked mostly on ancient or pre colonial part. There are more recent migration. During the expansion of Hindu-Arabic-Buddhist expansion in the Philippines. The recent trade of different Kingdoms especially Southeast Asia trades. These are still pre colonial but almost in the time of European colonizations. During the Colonial Spanish of the Philippines there are still trade connection of other parts of the world and added by native Americans, and then the rest of American and European countries. There are native Americans assimilation in the Philippines, then multiple migration of different Southeast Asian and East Asians during Spanish colonial. After Spanish is United States of America. Philippines became a colony of USA and multiple and more diverse Americans mixing in the Philippines. Then different wars like Japanese Occupation leave some genetic history in the Philippines. The WWII forced many Koreans and Chinese and other Asians (East and Southeast) migration to the Philippines during and after. Vietnam war made some Vietnamese fled to the Philippines. Korean civil war also have some exchanges of Filipinos and South Koreans. There are some Jews in the Philippines too for some reason. Filipinos who took DNA testing have some results of Jews. There are many germans too, and some russians for some reason. Everybody thought those who took refuge in the Philippines are living within themselves in a semi isolation and only to their group. Looks like some are sneaky and leave some of their genes behind when they are going back or move to US. Now during this time there are multiple people migrating in the Philippines while Filipino diaspora are becoming more and more than before. More filipinos leave their country.

The typical female dress in mexico its based and was handmade for the first time to wear by a chinese princes who came along with other chinese immigrants who were loyal to their princess and most important their traditions. Our mexican typical dress is called "china poblana dress" it was handmade and embroidered by chinese immigrants in the south central state of puebla for a especial celebration or festival. Thats the reason we call it "china poblana dress" china which in this case refers to a chinese female and poblana which means a female from the state of puebla. Later throughout the years was used and adopted by indian, mestizos and criollos ( sons and daugthers of spaniards born in the New Spain or México) the use of this beatiful and colorful dress became so popular that it's now our typical dress along with the charro outfit or mexican cowboy outfit also used by musicians who are known around the world as mariachis.

The Chinese in Mexico that immigrated during colonial times were really Mestizo de Sangley from the Philippines. That is their ancestors were already in the Philippines during colonial times intermarried with the natives an left for Mexico, because in those time the Philippines were part of Nueva Espana. Direct immigrants from Chinese mainland were Non-existent since the Spaniards were at war and considered the Chinese mainlanders as enemies.

Mexico is like any other country, they made their mistakes. However, how you go forward is up to ur leaders. USA mocked AMLO for the public apologies, but the whole country saw it and participated. Such gracious humility. It gives a country and ALL Mexican citizens hope for a more united future. The grace that the Native and Chinese Communities accepted the apology, didn't go unnoticed. I think they may have more of a problem with the locals being racist towards them. It's rare to find Asian immigrants in Mexico, but a lot of people are rude to them when I see them. I would probably close myself if someone kept calling me chino all the time instead of knowing my name.

    • @Tizoc85

True, but that would be more constant interactions with people you know. Most Chinese will refer to you as foreigner perhaps until they get to know you. I think it’s worse to call all Asians Chinese or even indigenous looking Mexicans chinitos.

In the US you are always an outsider as long as you look different, because segregation is deeply rooted in their culture, even black Americans and native Americans are treated as outsiders in their own country just because they're racial minorities.
The only bad thing about Latin America is that is poor and corrupt but even then, millions of people decide to move there because they know the people are very welcoming and life can be good

It's impressive to see people in different environments, if you will.
I obviously know how and why, for Asians in Mx to be, well, Mexicans.
It's just that the mind, can't make sense of it, lol
I just couldn't resist and asked an Asian, where they were from--a teenage guy at a store. He proudly responded that he was Mexican, he was born there, and so he was Mexican. Alright, hahaha
I'm Mexican too, but my Spanish doesn't sound beautiful, without the accent.
I grew up in Florida, so my Spanish is very much influenced by other Latins, namely Cubans. I still sound Mexican, but with a twist. I'm sure Mexas (from Mx), would immediately pinpoint my differences.

Dragons, the lion dance and other Chinese wonders should be added to parades celebrating Mexican holidays like the Day of the Dead.

Miley L I don't know what crack you on but get your shit straight BLACKS are more racist than whites, that's one of the reasons why Hispanics or Latinos hate blacks, now don't come around talking shit acting like black people are the fucking victims when they always go around stealing on the streets from Mexicans and then go around protesting for stupid ass bullshit. now for the Chinese some are racist! but not all just like in every country, I'm Mexican I like Chinese people they are hard working people like my people now if you don't like that then shove it up your ass 🖕🏼
