I honestly don't understand. If we Americans are so mad at China investing in Mexico, then why don't we counter it by *INVESTING* there?? Instead we're just here whining about it and complaining about the migrants, when China is helping to lessen those migrant numbers by increasing opportunity in Mexico.

Imperialism my friend. Never allow a threat to get a leg up on anything. UFC wanted nothing to do with PrideFC but they bought it out just to get rid of competition and allowed it to die a quick death. Monopoly 101.
In this case they want nothing to do with Mexico but they also really can't buy out the Chinese investments into Mexico just so they can shut down the investment from China itself BECAUSE, again, they want nothing to do with partnering in Mexico to justify the buyout. It's a colossal waste of funds.

Don't get too comfortable with Chinese investments. They would put illegal activities like gambling, human trafficking, drugs and smuggled goods from china that would mess up your economy, just to name a few. Mostly those so callled "investments" are just a front for the Chinese but they would do anything in they can for them to get the most benefit out of it rather than the country they are investing in.

No Chinese cars are going to cross the border, they are for the Mexican market, Mexico has the right to decide for itself, if the US does not want Chinese products they will not have them and that's it, the matter is resolved. The government in Mexico wants its citizens to have access to low-cost cars, the cheapest electric car in the US costs around 40 thousand dollars, in Mexico it costs 18 thousand dollars,This will help us meet global environmental commitments, and it will improve mobility for many areas in Mexico that do not have public transportation, farmers' crops rot due to lack of mobility, Previously, the automotive market in MX was very bad, they do not sell us the same models as in North America or Europe, and they sell them to us more than twice their price, at very high rates, and with half the equipment and safety of the same models. In the USA, now they are going to have to compete whether they like it or not and the 130 million Mexicans will be able to access a car for half the price, which was already the market price in the US.

The difference is China enters mutually beneficial business deals and the host countries always prosper. Look how fast the countries in Africa are developing with their trillion dollar investments. Mexico will now reap the massive benefits the same way. US always looked down on Mexico, but now that China is partnering with all of these countries that were once taken advantage of by the West, the tables have turned. Mexico is now the 4th richest nation in the Western Hemisphere and the 14th in the world. 20 more years they will be in the top 10 as the Mexican economy gets incorporated with the Chinese economy and Asia as a whole. Smart Mexicans, have a 10,000 year old civilization and are highly respected by the Asians, that's why Mexicans can travel visa free in almost every country in Asia. They're even allowed to stay in Japan longer than any other country on earth. In the 1500s lots of Asians came to Mexico as it was the land of opportunity well before the US was even a country - those glory days will return sooner than you think.

Data show that the bf economy of Mexico is getting bigger and could be one of the top 15 economies in the world by 2040. It's cool to look at new options, but we shouldn't mess up our relationship with the US. Like it or not, we're kind of stuck with each other. -You have to enter into a joint-venture with a local company of the same industry, and you can own up to 50% of the joint-venture. The local partner's 50% will be in the form of land and labor. Profits are shared 50/50. The local partner must run the HR department.

So I guess it was ok to offshore/nearshore/outsource jobs as long as American corporations were doing it, and the beneficiaries were shareholders. As soon as China or any other foreign corporation starts doing the same, it's a problem ?

La respuesta es sencilla: China invierte en México porque México le debe mucho dinero a este país, ese es el modelo economico asiatico prestar todo el dinero que quieras y luego cobrarlo construyendo lo que ellos quieran en el país deudor.

Mexicans have been experiencing more power outages recently with all the demand brought on from gigantic factories and tourism.
Let’s hope they can improve their grid before it gets like a Caribbean island running on emergency generators year round

Well explain thank you for bringing up this video
Financial education is indeed required for more than 80% of the society in the country as very few are literate on the subject. The value of the US dollar is declining due to inflation, but it is increasing in comparison to other currencies and commodities such as gold and real estate. I'm worried that rising inflation will cause my 550k in my retirement funds to lose value, But with the help of Charlotte Miller I hit 220k this week from my investment of 45k, I am truly grateful for all the knowledge and nuggets you have given me over the past few months.
