Sahod mo Dollar plus nakatira ka sa Canada equals Survival lang ang buhay.
Sahod mo Peso plus nakatira ka sa Pinas equals Survival lang din ang buhay.

Same kakabalik ko lang ng Pilipinas galing Canada, Alberta. Mas gusto ko sa Pilipinas. Masyado kasing malamig sa Calgary and ang haba pa ng gabi pag winter. Pag winter parang nasa bahay ka lang lagi. Dito kasi sa pinas marami kang magagawa kasi halos pantay un umaga at gabi. Un lamig sasabihin natin masarap. Pero un nandun nako kinasusuklaman ko na maslalo pag naramdaman nyo un -65. Gaya ni Kuya Digital nomad din ako kaya inuwi ko na lang un trabaho ko dito sa pinas.

Tagal ko nang umalis ng Pinas. Since 97. Pero ngayon binabalak ko nang mag-retire in the next 5 yrs - hinihintay ko lang mag-university anak ko. So far, adjustment back in the Philippines looks ok for you. Any other advice other than your video blogs kung paano mag-adjust and to prepare to move back? My family is in Manila but my son and my wife are with me here in Canada. I just came back from RP and got the realization that my parents and in laws are getting old -- torn between eventually moving back vs staying here. I got lucky establishing my career and life here in Canada but now that I am heading to senior citizen years, mukhang mas mabuti na bumalik na ako - in a way, parang mas mabuti pa ata ang healthcare system sa pinas, pero on other way, patas rin kasi libre dito sa Canada. Trade off -- age-ing parents vs waiting for son to get into university (time trade off), free healthcare vs long lines to access (Eg elective surgeries etc), restarting vs continuing... but it's good to hear your perspective and how you managed to move forward and not look back ☺︎

Kapag nawalan ka ng trabaho sa Canada 🇨🇦. Pwede kang mag apply ng unemployment. Kung hindi ka maka kuha ng unemployment., pwede kang mag apply ng welfare.
