That feeling you get when you discover yet another clip of Chris Farley. I hope there is a vault somewhere of never ending Farley clips. I know there isn’t, but I hope there is.
The sad realization of "I know there isn't....". I feel the same way but it's awesome when something like this comes along. Even though I grew up seeing most of this stuff live it's always great when something pops up I either don't remember or just never seen. Chris Farley was the best!!

@@adriantrusca1245 sometimes thats all it takes. People are usually bland and boring and then someone with an incredible personality shows up and just changes the whole vibe and you can't help but smile.
I think it was David spade and Adam Sandler that talked about how his presence, energy and humor were so powerful, he stole the show in every sketch he was in.
Knowing that Chris never truly believed he was funny is heartbreaking.

He admitted several times he wasn't the best writer, but he had that onscreen energy. That his career mirrored John Belushi's in such a dark way never escapes me. Both dead at 33, both due to a Speedball overdose, Belushi was Farley's idol growing up. So eerie.
He's still the funniest comedian/actor I've ever seen!

It's amazing to see how long Conan & Andy have been a team, and great to witness Chris Farley's stint. Really digging what SJP was wearing actually, and support frugality 100%.
Andy wouldn’t be in show business if it weren’t for Conan. He’s not funny and has had three canceled shows. Always comes back to the Conan couch. 🤣

@@MiguelFerreyraGuitar You're almost totally alone in that opinion. He's beloved by so many fans of the show because he's quick-witted and naturally funny. Conan has said that he's proven to be invaluable as both a writer and improviser. Andy has also been a critical part of determining which sketches make it onto the show. In 2009, he came back after having been away for almost a decade because he'd grown weary of dealing with TV execs who watered down his ideas and took forever to get projects off the ground. Conan's show was a positive environment where he got to be creative without any behind-the-scenes bullshit.

Been a fan since his first episode of Late Night. I was 9.
We are the same age, April. Seems kinda crazy how time flies. Feels like it wasn't all that long ago, yet feels like lifetimes.

One of the best bits of this was Andy jumping in the chair next to conan and him giving him a hug. These guys have been buddies and worked together for *decades*.
Farley was originally cast as the voice for Shrek but because he died Meyers got the role instead and the creators drastically changed the character since Shrek was originally based on Farley himself.
You can hear part of the original Shrek tracks that Farley recorded if you look online. To be honest, I prefer Mike Myers final version.

Conan’s writing made 90s SNL humor popular and funny during some very lean years. Then his GENIUS groundbreaking humor redefined Late Night talk shows forever. How NBC could take this man for granted and fail to realize his importance to pop culture history, I’ll never understand. (I Won’t even begin to mention The Simpsons…..) This man was and will always be my generation’s Carson.

Precisely how did Conan "redefine" talk shows forever? He was funny, not groundbreaking.
He was far from the only writer on SNL or The Simpsons. Jack Handey was more important to those years of SNL. And Al Jean, Mike Reiss, Jon Vitti, David Mirkin, Greg Daniels, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein were more important to The Simpsons during the '90s.
@@jedijones who said he was the only writer? The point being made is that his innovative comedic style and wit were foundational in shaping a lot of talk shows today. Not to mention he was often the originator of so many of the iconic random musical selections that defined The Simpsons early years.
This makes me feel so happy and sad at the same time.

It's sad we often don't realize how amazing people in our lives are until they're gone.

Farley was not coked out. FYI, he was clean and sober in 1994. So, you need to hush up. He was not on drugs at the time. Learn his story, before saying something you know nothing about.

I'm responding late to this... but she seemed completely unhinged, like maybe it was a mix of nerves and her trying to channel that into excitement but it's so unnatural and unsettling.. if she acted like this in another setting I would think she's a tweeker or having a manic episode. Conan was being exceptionally generous by letting it slide. I think he couldn't decide whether to call it out or not and just went with it, picking up on her nerves and that she was just over-correcting into this weird personality
