Touratech Rally Day 1: Road Trip, Setting Up, Delicious Burgers, and Camping in my Enclosed Trailer

- Day 1 of my Touratech Rally West 2021 adventure began with a six hour road trip up Interstate 5, through the Columbia Gorge, across the river into Washington state, and through the farmland and forests to Plain, Washington. I was so excited to have been invited to be a presenter at the 2021 Touratech Rally, so I decided to make the trip up to Washington a day early. Once I arrived, I set up my enclosed trailer toy hauler camper conversion for the five days I'd spend there, met up with Beards, Bikes, and Camping to hear all about his road trip ordeal (TWO tire changes on his Honda Africa Twin), enjoyed a delicious burger for dinner, had a few beers, met my neighbors, and enjoyed a Mr. Puff Puff before heading off to sleep in my enclosed trailer camper.

It is good to experience new bikes as shared in the KLR video, Harley Davidson, KTM and Triumph brought a large number of bikes to demo in conditions that are not available at the dealership. TT is in June in 2022 so it will be soon. Hope to see you next year

I'm really happy that you bought the KLR. I was so close to pulling the trigger on one but was talked out of it by a friend saying its too heavy for offroad. I ended up getting a used KTM EXC 450 F Six Days (same money as your new bike). Looking forward to learning more about the bike.

baja designs makes some epic looking and ridiculously powerful LED headlights for the DRZ, i don't know if you ride at night im just saying... also kyle form the dirt bike channel said that riding with an extra light mounted on your helmet at night is epic and very convenient

Really nice build on the trailer! Simple yet effective. BTW, do you have a preferred stogie? Looked like that was a Churchill in Connecticut wrapper - couldn't catch the brand.
I kinda just buy whatever is decent that I can get a good deal on Cigar Bid. Flor de Oliva is one of my favorite inexpensive sticks. I also really like the Victor Sinclair Imperial 55s.
