In the annals of the guitar, there are some events that stand out as landmarks: - Segovia's performance of the Chaconne in Paris in the 1930s. - Narciso Yepes' first recording of the Aranjuez in the 1950s. - Prodigies such as John Williams and Christopher Parkening. - Julian Bream and his 20th-century guitar album. - Kazuito Yamashita's transcription and performance of "Pictures at an exhibition." - Manuel Barrueco's transcription and recording of Albéniz and Granados. To highlight a few. I would include this performance of the Chaconne by a 23-year old, already so musically beyond years, that you wonder how much higher can he go? But Mr. Redzix here is not a promise, he's already the real thing and his later performances attest his non-stop growth and evolution as an artist. I can only lament the feeble criticism of this Chaconne on a thread in the Brazilian Violão Fórum. Unfortunately, people often make judgements without having the eyes to see or ears to hear. The 200 thousand + views tells us that this is indeed an extraordinary performance!
From 10:00 onwards it seemed to me, as a layman, that Redzic used a transcription that was less faithful to Bach's original, for violin, than the one used by Segovia, and less beautiful. I randomly listened to two performances of the original violin version and confirmed this.
I heard this fantastic piece of music from many guitarist but none of them have achieved this particular, delightful and pleasant sound and tempo which have captured my attention from the fist time I played it. Excellent performance and thank for the contribution!
Ditto. I heard several play this at a Parkening. competition . When Selznick played it it was like I really heard it for the first time. The pastoralle section brought.tears. what he was playing was a story.

Hearing the Chaconne for many years, in many variations and instruments, and always coming back to your interpretation. Technically perfect, but full of tone and expression. Every note is thought through and played with intention. If someone who never heared the Chaconne in his life asked me about it, without any thoughts I'd point him directly to here (-:

Best interpretation of the Chaconne I've ever heard, even yours later versions, in my opinion, are not as good as this one. Perfection. Music of all times. You are THE Genius, mr.Redzic!

This piece became my religion 30 years ago. So weird to run into a (for me) completely unknown guitarist that plays it clearer and with greater respect for every tone than the whole gang of famous stars.

This has been my favourite guitar piece for approaching 50 years and I have heard many performances. This is one of the best interpretations I have heard for some time, a great achievement maestro.
@@tommihail282 No, that seems to be a different transcription. For example, at 2:02 Sanel plays single notes (I actually prefer this much more), Segovia's transcriptions has chords instead.

I think this is the by far best interpretation of the Chaconneon the guitar - using the possibilities of the guitar but still staying close to the violin original. Great work!
I give up. Just have to. When you think you've heard it all! I mean I have heard quite a lot of renditions of Chaconne by people who are phenomenally good. But this, this, Mr. Redzic, is the way it should be.. This is better than any rendition I have heard so far!..Now, on my way to find out more about you.. Listening to you makes me feel as Bach would say: "I felt my whole being praising God"... Soli Deo Gloria - To the Glory of God Alone Thank you
When listening to this version, perhaps Bach would say something slightly different, such as "very beautiful, but not exactly what I had in mind". In fact, from 10:00 onwards it seemed to me, as a layman, that Redzic used a transcription that was less faithful to Bach's original, for violin, than the one used by Segovia, and less beautiful. Samo ću reći da je ovo najbolje izvedba Chaconne na TH-cam-u koju sam našao. Fenomenalan ton, artikulaciju savršena, jednostavno genijalno. Šta se tu više ima reč... Majstore svaka čast...
Really impressed with both the interpretation and technical skill - all pulled off without a hitch. You really made the different voices stand out nicely. I know I'll be listening again and again.
Awesome! Wish ya all the best! :D I play the classical guitar but since I was 12, I've always wanted to learn the violin. I couldn't get the chance :( sadly
I get very emotional when I listen to this music. In my humble opinion this is the best guitar version of the Chaconne on TH-cam. I would also recommend the violin version played by Itzhak Perlman.
whenever I hear this, I feel amazed. your right fingers are so strong that the sound they make eats into my heart. The best chaconne i have ever heard!!!
Excellent performance and interpretation .A big thankyou too to the camera operator for staying in one position so we can all see the artistry as if we were sitting in the audience, I find ‘ artsy’ camera work so distracting.Excellent choice of guitar maker too.
Thanks for uploading this; I never had much interest in nylon string, but this was the little push I needed. It's like Bach is acting through you, and the beauty is only enhanced by your expression. Again, thank you.
That was absolutely amazing! Haven't found a better performance of this on guitar... Well done! Your concentration throughout the whole thing too was just outstanding! Phenomenal work Sanel. Keep practicing :^D
great performance! have a great talent and great love for the guitar, I'm glad that there are young talents in the world of this noble instrument .. thanks for sharing!
I think, Bach would like your interpretation. It is intense, but not romantic and you keep the speed steady (not to much agogic). Very, very well done.

This is the only version I have heard where the fastest passages make sense and don't sound like just a jumble of notes. And keep in mind that includes versions by Bream and Segovia. Nice job.
Andrew, Thanks for pointing that out. I never appreciated how much cleaner and clearer this execution is with respect to other (perhaps more acclaimed) versions. Wow! In my mind, so excruciatingly difficult to play this piece well. I just play the treble part of the 'Misterioso' section just to get through this monster piece. You are an inspiration to many. Bravo!!

Thanks a lot! Yes, this is Chaconne from 2nd violin partita, BWV 1004. I am now 24 and I recorded this in 2011, just after I turned into 23.
Is this Segovia's transcriptions that Alirio Diaz used? Great mastery indeed, regards from Australia ...

BRAVO! Thank you for this gift Mr. Redzic...
Somewhere Bach is crying ... tears of joy, that his masterpiece - an elegy on the death of his first wife - was played so artistically.
Awesome sounds, tempo, and technique. really love with this chaconne👌
Bach's music is so evocatively stirring.
Nailed it so well, I've been aspiring to play this right through for years. Isn't it just the most beautiful piece of music?
it kinda is, that passage 4:49 - 7:15 is completely amazing. especially when this guy plays it !
Stunning. Absolutely stunning... Standing ovation for this masterful expression and command.
Ein großartiger Gitarrist und eine großartige Interpretation. (Und eine ebenso tolle Gitarre :-) Bei diesem Spiel geht mir das Herz auf!
От отдавна не бях слушал толкова добро изпълнение на китара
Predivno,predivno!🎶🎶🎶🎶
I love Bach. I can' t belive that only a man and a guitar touch my soul. It' s a maravelous interpretation.
