21:21 you’re telling me, Obsidius, a kaiju made out of MOLTEN ROCK is getting hurt by fire???
Edit: it makes it worse since he is the only kaiju who doesn’t get hurt by the lava in the volcano stage

To be fair, he's probably getting hurt more by the force of the blast rather than the fire itself.

What’s even worse than that is that Obsidius in the PS2 version IS damaged by the lava, but Fire Rodan is the immune one

Obsidious has collected all the power surges as requested by SpaceGodzilla and had killed any resistance from the other Kaiju factions. With all the immense power he controlled, he felt he was unstoppable. So it came to no surprise for humanity to witness Obsidious challenge SpaceGodzilla to a battle.
Obsidious tracked down SpaceGodzilla to New York City where he proceeded to attempt to destroy his “father” in order to obtain full power. Unbeknownst to Obsidious, Krystalak had followed him from San Francisco and attacked him in order to protect SpaceGodzilla. After a lengthy and tiring battle, Obsidious had slain his fellow Mutants and absorbed their powers.
With full control over the crystals, Obsidious began to destroy Earth’s surface and reshape it image into molten rock and filling the oceans with lava. But before he could finish, a strong presence drew him back to San Francisco.
Obsidious arrived to San Francisco to find the body of King Caesar beginning to change. After absorbing the the life energies of all the fallen Kaiju around the world, King Caesar transformed into his ultimate form, the mighty Fire Lion. With the Fire Lion reawakened, Earth would now hold witness to the greatest battle ever to behold in the known universe. Obsidious would finally meet his match.
